But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?

Catholics get wrongfully accused of by anti-catholics of "a works doctrine" and yet today I see more and more Protestant preachers teaching works of law such as to tithe 10% of your income why is that?

BTW Catholics understand the writing of both Paul and James and it is works of love in God's grace that they both agree on and that Catholics also believe in, not a salvation by works of the law such as percentage tithing.

1. What is your proof of evolution (Don't ask us what's the proof of christianity. Thats annoying)

2. Why is evolution, which scientificly isn't even up to theory level, taught as dogma ?

3 Why are you atheists so afraid of what you can't understand?

Has anyone heard about this devotion or gone through the prayers ? It is very interesting. It is about the number of wounds Jesus had at His crucifixtion. (Thought I'd clarify) http://www.ladyofroses.org/brigit1.htm...

I'm looking to replace my deck. I like to own decks that are unique and that I feel a connection with rather than the traditional Rider-Waite deck. Does anyone have a favorite unique deck they'd recommend?

Also, can anyone recommend a good tarot book that gives basic meanings, spreads, etc.

Imagine that I tithe and that I just made US$100.

I tithe $10 of it.

The church gives this to a homeless person who, in gratitude to God (so much for my hard earned money...), tithes 10% of it back, or US$1.

They put this $1 to charitable work. A tithe of US$0.10 is paid on it.

They put that dime to work. A tithe of a penny is paid on it.

Ultimately, the church ends up with... surprise surprise... NOTHING. (that is to say, the limit of 0.1 ^ x as x approaches infinity is 0)

Can anyone tell me why I should tithe to the Church instead of walking down the street and handing the $10 directly to the homeless guy I pass on my way to work then?

The church ends up with the same amount, in the end, and the homeless guy has $10 instead of $9.

because they don't in American Courts.

And swearing on ANYTHING is forbidden by Jesus himself, so Christians wouldn't be allowed to do it even if it were required.

Where do you people get such bizarre ideas?

I think almost all reasonable people nowadays agree that slavery is immoral. The Old Testament, though, is full of verses that condone it. Why?

You can read it all you want to and take it out of context all you want to, but if you're not a follower of Christ then you will not begin to comprehend what the Scriptures are actually saying.

Nice article there about a nice 19 year old boy from Arkansas who was "told by God to travel to Galvaston, Texas to find work as a minister." He is now in jail for PUTTING HIS 2 MONTH OLD CHILD IN A MICROWAVE because he couldnt take the demands of caring for her (but he is going to care for an entire congregation, right??)

Why does God call on these kinds of people to lead ministries?? Or, was this young man actually completely faithful and sane and was simply following another "test" like God tested Abraham, asking him to kill his own son???

Well. Christians tend to believe it's wrong, but god made us to be how we are right? He is all mighty and powerful, so he didn't make anyone gay. I suppose homosexuality is a result of too much sugar, or is some infection going around, BEWARE don't touch the gays, it's contageous!!! No i don't think so, it's strange, homosecuality is not a Decision made by a person, it is their nature. If god made them he made them to be gay. Are you saying that people Choose to be gay? No. Many children have grew up having homosexual feelings, not a choice they made.

and I CANNOT BELIEVE the reponse of most of the Christians there! I HAD to show it to my friend (who is Christian) and she cannot believe it either! This CANNOT be typical of ALL Christians can it? I HOPE not!

You would rather a former convicted pedophile who is now Christian to teach your kids than a gay person, Mormon or JW or Moslem?

Do you know how MANY "former" pedophiles relapse? I am a therapist and the rates of rehabilitation for sex offenders is VERY low. That can pose a SERIOUS danger if it is YOUR child the offender relapses with. Or do you feel that becoming a Christian automatically 'cures' a pedophile? Don't Christians sin?

What danger does a teacher who is gay, Mormon or JW put your children in exactly? Please explain to me and all the other rational Christians out there.
