Using sensible logic....I cannot concieve how matter came into existence from nothingness. I am not saying that God did it, but I just find it very hard to wrap around the idea that something can come out of nothing. That is why I am now converting to Christianity to see if I can find some answers.

Any thoughts?

The 2 are dependent on each other in the Christian religion.
I say this because most of the time I ask a question and I get an answer that reflects me to the bible.
I ask about belief in the bible and I am refered to faith.
So while a little "chicken and egg" cliche' what do you think came first?
See the writers of the bible had to have faith that they were writing God's word" yet where did that faith come from without a bible to back it up....especially regarding the NT.
Your thoughts?

Falwell certainly gloated when "sinners" got their comeuppance, so why shouldn't his karma fit his crimes? I've already reserved my space in the line of people waiting to piss on his grave.

Can we prove, beyond a reasonable shred of doubt, that there is no creator, or at the very least a greater purpose in life?

We can only prove that stories in the bible are not accurate, but does that change the message of the bible? Corrupt religious leaders have used the bible to control the masses, and there are many things in the bible that are flawed because of this. However, if you look past this can you not see the truth within the bible (or any religious book)?

Do you think you can just totally believe something truly without questioning it first? Most of us live our life's, saying we belong to this religion or that religion but do we truly belong if we don't ask question..... Quran says to ask questions and I do... I have asked many questions and I think my mom does not like me because of of it because I believe the answers I get... For example Evolution. I believe in it because Everything in Quran is not to be taken literally. So have you questioned your faith? what came out of your questioning it.......

I can't find one verse by Jesus that says gays are going to hell.
Jesus approves of the gay lifestyle.
Why else would he never talk about it.
I'm sick and tired of my brothers and sisters in the lord who pick and choose verses to bash gays!
you christians are going to hell for saying gays can't marry each other.
Thank you atheists for opening my eyes to the truth of God.
God is love!

when non-Mormons tell you "You don't know what your church believes, *I* know more of what you believe than you do!"?

I mean, don't you just want to say "Hey, I am the world's foremost authority on what I believe!"?

I am disabled and need surgery and I asked a rich Christian friend of mine to loan me some money so I can get the surgery but she ignored me even though she spent thousands of dollars on acupuncture and other alternative treatments on her dog. I also asked 10 other Christians who are rich but they all are rebelling against God's Word including most of you devils.

I am curious to know what is wrong with Buddhism because I am tired of writings on what is wrong with the Christian faith, speically since there are people who write against the Christian faith but embrace Buddhism and proclaim it to be better than the Christian faith.

Where do you look for the truth of the light?

Many of us allow ourselves to get sidetracked by our preconceived notions about where the truth of the Light is to be found. (Regardless of what you call this truth; God, Jesus, Christ, the Word, Annointing, Enlightenment, Buddha, etc)

We tend to look for it in church, in respectable places, and among respectable people. Yet, we rarely look for it in any place or among anyone that has the slightest odor of disrepute or carries about it a hint of the stench of death.

Is it too much for us to branch out into the highways and byways of life and seek truth in all places and among all people, seeking it where you least expect to find it?
Would you be surprised to discover that the truth of the light is where you don’t expect it to be, and that it isn’t where you expect it to be?

Do you ever look for the truth in all the wrong places?

(Quote:: "A faith that is alive is a faith that is willing to be surprised.")

Here is His Considered Revolutionary Insightful Point-blank View on all the religions of the Past:

"Religions of the past were all life-negative and masochistic, teaching that sorrow and suffering are great virtues.

A laughing religion, A RELIGION THAT ACCEPTS LIFE IN ITS TOTALITY IS YET TO BE BORN.

And it is good that old religions are dead, and that along with them the old God, the God of our concepts, is also dead."
Osho

Do you consider the birth of a New Religion on the linessuggested by Osho will be welcome?

What is Your Take on this?

From my Jewish point of view:-
Rabbi Yeshua was a Jew, a Jew who probably wanted to reform and do good but that's where it stops. If Yeshua were a Jew who was dedicated to the Law then most of Christianity actually contradicts the religion that Yeshua professed. Therefore I think that a Jew who worships Yeshua instead of G-d is actually betraying his own religion and ironically that of Yeshua himself! My answer would be that a Jew who believes in Jesus has committed apostacy from the Jewish religion and turned their back on their people.
Jesus Christ is the fictitious invention of Saint Paul and the Roman Church and inasmuch the New Testament is the garbled remains of an edited. mistranslated and censured pile of old documents written by people who were not actually there at the time. Interestingly, the eye-witness scrolls have been conveniently surpressed and/or destroyed by the Church.
My answer is no.....what do you think?
