I can simply answer that with a no...but let me explain. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses...we do not have a specific uniform or costume...but we follow Bible principles which help us make good decisions in our choice of clothes....1 Peter 3:3,4: "And do not let YOUR adornment be that of the external braiding of the hair and of the putting on of gold ornaments or the wearing of outer garments, but let it be the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible [apparel] of the quiet and mild spirit, which is of great value in the eyes of God." This goes for male and female...we dress modestly...but different occasions and circumstances call for different attire. At our Christian meetings...the males(men and boys)...usually wear a pair of dressy pants(like Khakis)...with a collared shirt and tie...they also wear dressy jackets too at times and a pair of dress shoes....for the females...we wear a nice skirt and blouse or a dress and a jacket or sweater if we want with nice dressy shoes...(stilettos, boots, sandals-not flip flops, wedges, etc.). Also we wear jewelry...but just in modesty...right now i have on gold(that's my favorite)...bracelets, anklets, earrings, rings, necklace...(but nothing that is not considered modest like a tongue ring or belly ring or nose ring etc.). As long as our clothes are not outlandish and they don't draw too much attention to us...and it's modest...then we're good. We also get our hair done if we want...(braids, twist, plats, perms, color, curly, straight, nappy, etc...). We are very down to earth people...and are not any kind of cult or sect...we choose what we want to wear. Like if im going to the beach...im not going to have on my dressy clothes...i usually wear a swimsuit and to coverup a pair of shorts and a tank or a skirt and a tank top...we wear shorts, jeans, skirts, dresses, halters, t shirts, hoodies, sneakers, etc.(gotta love the sneakers...lol)...so i hope i was able to help you out and give you an idea about JWs and what we wear...wish you the best on your assignment and if you got anymore questions...just get at me...you can also check out www.watchtower.ORG

A person who would be approved for baptism would have to be someone with an accurate knowledge of what the Bible teaches in various areas, hence those questions that a possible baptismal candidate must review with congregation elders. Nobody will tell you it's an elder who grants you salvation. The elders are, however, the spiritual shepherds of the congregation, and its in their charge to meet with those desiring to be baptized and see if they have the required knowledge. Baptism is a requirement, a vital step towards salvation as it is a definitive step towards salvation. Due to the seriousness of baptism and all that it entails, a Bible student must have that accurate knowledge so that their baptism is not done out of ignorance, but with full knowledge of what it means for them personally and their relationship with Jehovah. How can a person be approved for baptism if they can't even explain basic Bible teachings to the elders, let alone to the people in the field that they'll be talking to from door-to-door? - If you seriously want to know the answers to your questions, you wouldn't be posting them in Yahoo Answers and asking them of strangers. It's appearing more likely right now that you have no real interest in Jehovah's Witnesses and are using your "curiosity" as a means to mask your true bigotry and true purpose which is to slam the Jehovah's Witness faith. BUT......if you are sincere (which doesn't appear likely), then you should direct those questions to the congregation elders and they can show you scripturally the reasoning for those questions to be included in the process. - You definitely are masking something. If you were truly curious, you wouldn't be asking your questions here, you would be addressing them with the local elders. It makes no sense for you to post your questions on this message board.

No.
Jehovah's Witnesses are well known for their modest dress and grooming at all times. Witnesses avoid ostentatious and androgynous attire and grooming. Women among Jehovah's Witnesses are almost never topless in public, even when it is accepted in the surrounding community. In most lands, local community sensibilities allow women to wear pants socially and during secular work (Deut 22:5 is not over-applied).
(1 John 2:16) The showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father
(Deuteronomy 22:5) No garb of an able-bodied man should be put upon a woman, neither should an able-bodied man wear the mantle of a woman
At their congregation meetings and during their formal ministry, Witnesses are careful to 'recommend themselves as God's ministers' which includes respecting local standards of professionalism and dignity for ministers. In Europe, Canada, and the United States, this typically means a necktie for men and for women a skirt or dress.
(1 Timothy 2:9-10) Likewise I desire the women [and men] to adorn themselves in well-arranged dress, with modesty and soundness of mind, not with styles of hair braiding and gold or pearls or very expensive garb, but in the way that befits women [and men] professing to reverence God
(2 Corinthians 6:3-4) In no way are we giving any cause for stumbling, that our ministry might not be found fault with; but in every way we recommend ourselves as God’s ministers

Jehovah's Witnesses have no specific dress codes or anything like that, but follow the basic principles listed in the Bible regarding modesty in dress and grooming.
1 Timothy 2:9,10 - "Likewise I desire the women to adorn themselves in well-arranged dress, with modesty and soundness of mind, not with styles of hair braiding and gold or pearls or very expensive garb, but in the way that befits women professing to reverence God, namely, through good works."
The principle here is that all of us should be modesty in our dress and grooming, which is avoiding dressing in extremes or with immodest clothing like low-cut shirts or baggy pants. Pretty much anything that would be considered to give you a reputation that isn't necessarily good when it comes to dressing yourself is wrong.

We simply strive to dress modestly. When we go out formally preaching or to our meetings we usually do dress somewhat more formally.

no, we use to dress formal for our meeting because it is a formal and quiet ,1 Corithians 14:33: For God is [a God], not of disorder, but of peace.
As in all the congregations of the holy ones,
