i mean if Adam,Abraham,..etc were just myths created by the Jews, couldn't Jesus and Muhammad create new characters to advertise for their religions instead of these already known characters?,why did they stick with the same stories of the Jews?,couldn't they create brand new myths?

No it wouldn't.

Christianity was an offshoot of Judaism and Islam was an offshoot of Christianity.

This was easier for them because each of the predecessors had built a foundation with ready-made myths that could be tapped into, like the messiah, et al.

It's a lot easier to convince someone to subtly change their ideas about something they already know about than it is to convince them their own ideas are completely wrong.

Because it is basically the same God who created Adam and Eve.

Just over history views have changed which have then formed different religions that I just view as denominations of Judaism.

The biggest views that have changed is the views on the Messiah. Jews and Muslims believe that there is no Messiah yet. Christians believe that he has already come.

Some Christians deny Mohammed, but most have not even read the Quran......just like most Christians have not read the Bible. Some just skim verses in Church. This is why the biggest problem in the Christian community is Bible illiteracy.

Muslims and Jews accept Jesus as only a prophet. But Muslims believe that it will be Jesus that comes back in the end of days.

Basically, there is one God who created Adam and Eve. These three religions claim to be worshiping this God but then say that the others are worshiping a false one because of their beliefs. I think that all 3 are important.

But I also think that it is important to steer away from organized religion and just read the Books for yourself and figure out your own beliefs. After I read the Bible I am going to read the Quran and I hope that all three will bring me closer to God.

The similarities between the three Abrahamic faiths are superficial. You think you know them because you've seen so much of the Christian version.

As for reusing old myths, that was de rigeur in the day. It's easier to gain converts when they're already familiar with the ideas. That's why Roman Christianity took on so many pagan deities as they marched across Europe.

Well because the original followers of Christianity were Jews and those that lived around Jews.

Why would they change what they were used to?

As for Islam Mohammad delt with Jews and Christians when he was a merchant. That is where he learned monotheism.

Additionally he wanted to convert Jews and Christan's in his area. That is why he adopted the same individuals and events.

He even prayed to Jerusalem for a period of time.

If this proves the validity of everything Christianity or any other Middle Eastern religion has to offer... then it also proves Paganism in all it's forms. The similarities between Paganism and all other religions is just as striking.

It helps to convert followers of the religion to join your new and improved religion. Wonder why the christian holidays are filled with pagan symbols? To help convert to the new religion. Same thing. You believe in Adam and Abraham?! Funny thing, our religion does too, except god has sent a new prophet this time......

yeah actually it proves something. It proves that the Muslims copied the Christians that copied the Jews that created those myths...

Same reason christians stole pagan holidays. Like Christmas, Lady Day, Easter, All Saints Day and others. Because if people have something familiar it makes it easier to accept.

How big was the area these three religions came from? Living in the same area, speaking the same (or similar) languages, seems probable that they will have the same legends.

That's all they had to work with back then. The myths were passed down orally for over 1000 years before they were written and adopted by others.
