1) There are fossil records, that support the theory.
The animals of the Galapagos Islands, provide strong
evidence of evolution. And there are a variety of insects
that even today that are shown to evolve to fit the
surroundings that it finds itself in.
2) The theory of evolution is an excepted and respected
theory in the scientific community, and has been for a few
years now.
3) I'm not an atheist, I'm a polytheist, Why are you christians
so afraid of science. I suppose the earth is flat and the sun
circles the earth too. Oh yes and the world is only 6000 or
so years old despite some civilizations that are older than
that. Face it your Bible is not a literal history nor is it
always scientifically accurate when it comes to our
physical world.

What do you expect us to give you? A gun with fingerprints on it? A fossilized half-elephant, half-giraffe holding a sign saying "Hi, I'm a transitional fossil"?
There is an ever increasing stream of data supporting evolution. But a more pertinent question is, what *alternative* theories are there?
If we were to find a rabbit in the pre-cambrian (millions of years before they evolved), that would more or less disprove evolution completely and we'd have to come up with a new theory which could account for such a finding. We would certainly not just assume that because one theory turned out to be wrong, a literal interpretation of the biblical creation myth has to be completely true. It doesn't explain anything.

1. I can't go into it here, not enough time or space. I recommend you try reading one of the HUNDREDS of books on the subject.
Excuse me? I believe its called the theory of evolution because it is a scientific theory. And, in case you're one of those who thinks a scientific theory is one which is just a guess, that's a hypothesis. A theory is a hypothesis that's been subjected to tests and proofs, and has been established.
3. I can only assume by this question that you must consider yourself an atheist, since you're the one demonstrating a fear of something you clearly don't understand.

Evolution is called a THEORY, meaning of course that we have no proof for believing in it. We just have LOTS of evidence, and a hell of a lot more for evolution than there is for creationism. We choose to believe that since we've seen evolution take place in many other species, we probably came into being the same way. It sure seems a lot more likely to a logical mind than the "god just went poof" theory.
To answer your second question, I don't see evolution being taught as "dogma," it is simply the most SCIENTIFICALLY plausible explanation, therefore it is taught as such in modern SCIENCE classes.
As for your third question, it isn't FEAR of what we don't understand, it simply a choice to not believe in something we have never seen ANY evidence for. We ACCEPT that we don't understand, as opposed to clinging to any dogma that gives us some explanation or another, regardless of logic or plausability.

1. The fossil record has more than enough evidence
2. Actually, it is up to theory level, but nothing in science is taught as dogma. This is where science and religion are different. In science things can be changed if new evidence points towards a different conclusion... in religion it can't.
3. Im only afraid of laws and restrictions on life being based off of your beliefs in a supernatural being.

You know what is ANNOYING, Why must you be so incredibly ignorant.
The fact then you are here is proof of evolution
Evolution is a FACT not theory.
"The Theory of Evolution" Attempts to explain how evolution occurred, NOT IF it occurred. There is a great deal of evidence to suggest it is true
If you are unable to understand the difference you are not just ignorant, you are truly mentally deficient.

there is absolutly no facts proving evolution to be correct
it conflicts with the first and second LAWS of thermodynamics and a wise guy down there said that the fossil record proves evolution... there are no transitional forms of fossils found anywhere. The first law of thermodynamics says that you cant go from nothing to something so why is that in your theory? the second says that you go from organization to chaos. evolution goes from chaos to organization. school teaches a one-sided point of view and it is a point of view with absolutly no scientific evidence and it has never been observed

Science deals with evidence; there's plenty of evidence for evolution, but only for those who are capable of understanding them.
Dogma? You don't know what "scientific theory" even means. Evolution is accepted by the entire scientific community except for religious fanatics.
We understand religion just fine, which is why we know how dangerous in can be. For example, it made you unable to understand or accept scientific facts.

Creationists: Go read a science book please.
Evolution = The observation that life changes over time.
no more, no less.
It does not address nor care about the origin of life.
It does not address nor care about the origin of Earth.
It does not address nor care about about the origin of the universe.
It does not address nor care about gods or creators.
It is simply the observation that life changes over time. It is observed, documented, and proven true time and time again. Any other argument you apply to it is merely you being deceived by your clergyman.
Do you want to know why they deceive you? It is because they, for whatever reason, want the earth to be 6,000 years old. Nowhere in the Bible does it say this. Even genesis says a minute to god is like a thousand years to us... giving a reasonable explanation for the 7 day creation to god being billions of years of Man's time.
Yet, as the churches, and most vehemently the baptists, demand a 6,000 year old earth, the time line shown in evolution, cosmology, and geology denies them their non-biblical age of the earth.
Instead of trying to prove their position (because they know it to be false) they enlist the uneducated masses of their church to wage war for them. A few snippets of false information and you are quite willing to strap that bomb on and sacrifice yourself to make noise among those more educated than you.
Please, go educate yourself and see just how far astray your 'moral' leaders have lead you.

1. there is plenty of evidence for evolution. For something to be a scientific theory, it has to be supported by evidence, otherwise it is a hypothesis.

2. It is a scientific theory.
3. I understand evolution quite well, and I'm not afraid of it.
