but then won't help the millions of starving and diseased people in this world? Does he really hate them that much?

God is obviously a couch potato who'd rather spend his time watching football and the academy awards than getting off his lazy *** to do something productive. Clearly, God is an overweight american with a dead-end job, too many kids, and way too much time on his hands.

No, God doesn't hate them. The Bible says, "God is no respecter of persons", and "there is no partiality with God." God loves us all the same. According to the Bible, it is our sins that separate us from the love of God. I don't really believe God helps all of the celebrities win awards either. We have to understand that there is a battle between good and evil. God being good and Satan being evil. God is the God of the universe but Satan is the prince or self made god of this world. If you would read about some of the celebrities you'll find that there are many who admit they sold their soul to the devil for fame. The Satan wants to make not serving the Lord look worth wild and serving the Lord look boring and burdensome. Satan is the author of confusion and Jesus Christ is the author and the finisher of our faith. Many people are born into what ever situation they're in today, almost like an inheritance, to see if they would trust God or make something else god. Their are many people suffering because they have in some way made themselves' a god.

No,it is a kind of test ...but God is just ...the rich are said to give the poor money...and maybe these celebrities are getting higher positions in life but it wont last ....its just that God is giving them more and more but they are not realizing that they should share it....Isn't it unfair that an actor takes 20 million dollars for a movie and a hard working man in another country or in USA can barely afford to live???!The problem is not God ,the problem is inside us ,yes humans...:) Hope all those who starve in anywhere in the world will get help ....

The awards that you speak of come from man praising man for his/her achievements. It has nothing to do with God.
The world loves it own, that is why it self-promotes. Ever wonder why actors get awards for using filthy language, killing people, doing drugs, and simulating sex on the big screen?

God is working through His servants, you don't need to worry about that. But the harvest is plenty as you are aware, and the workers are few. If you accept Jesus as your personal Savior today, you could be in that number to help.

Whose to say it's God helping them anyway? Talent and money have helped Celebrities, not God. God doesn't control the world. Where we go in life is our choice. Children starving and deseased is not God's fault. He had nothing to do with that. It's life, it's sad, but it's life.

I don't think God has anything to do with it. It's alot of talent and determination. But they thank God, because they can't believe it has really happened to them. No God would help the rich get richer and the poor get poorer! There are alot of really caring celeb's though that put all their fame and fortune to good causes though.

Because celebrities are responsible for bringing about public awareness on important issues, such as world hunger. Didn't you listen to George Clooney's award accaptance speech?

This goes into the "Why do good things happen to bad people/Why do bad things happen to good people?" bag.

Or, as the Rabbi once said to a colleague - "You know, seeing so much suffering in the world, sometimes I just want to scream at God - 'Lord, with all your power, and all your riches, and all your time, why do you not do something about it?'"

His colleague responded - "Well, why don't you?"

And the Rabbi replies - "Because I'm afraid he'll ask ME the same question!"
