When did God decide women shouldn't be sexy?

God made women sexy. When the Bible says to be modest, it specifically talks about not wearing jewelry, that is, modest, like not showing off your wealth. It doesn't say anything about how much skin you show. And showing skin and being sexy has nothing to do with being promiscuous.

Why is it that Christian and other religious men are so easily worked up into an uncontrollable lather? I don't hear non-religious women expressing the same concern. DRessing sexy is not advertising myself as a whore, or that I am for sale. How barbaric!

This is so silly. "Modest" is about humility, and humility i not about the exact shape of your neckline or the exact length of your skirt. Modesty is in your heart. I know many good , modest women with deep faith in Christ and great, loving marriages that look great in very small bikinis on the beach.

God made a woman so that a man would be attracted to her visually, so that they would join together to procreate.

He made sex delightful so that we would keep procreating and populate the earth. God gave specific instructions about this union, but that is another subject.

Modest simply means to have respect for yourself and others and to dress accordingly. To be bashful, to have shame. I don't think there are too many worldly, bashful women anymore. Come to think about it, Church dress has changed also.

Modest means to wear a minimum amount of make-up, jewelry, to not dress extravagantly. You are simply seeking attention if you do.

You also have to use your common sense. You should not go to church with your midriff showing, your breast hanging out, or your skirt so short, it cups your backside. This is not becoming to a christian woman. You can still be feminine and dress nicely without looking like a tart.

Unfortunately, when you do dress like a tart, the general consensus is that you have loose morals, whether true or not. That is just the way it is because you are showing your "wares."

She can if she wants. I dont care how other women dress and I wouldn't judge her by it. But women that judge modestly are also judged! I dont like men looking at me!! so why is that a problem?? why do people tell me that I'm oppressing myself by dressing modestly. In the end it doesn't have much to do with religion in my case. Forcing someone to cover their bodies or forcing someone to uncover are both wrong. Judging either is wrong to. Just live and let live.

No, check your Bible again. Women are told to not wear JEWELRY,MAKEUP OR CLOTHING THAT ADVERTISES HER AS A WHORE - Back during that time, women who were harlots wore specific types of

Additionally, I try to redirect my young daughters from seeing women who barely dress themselves or wear tight clothing. I don't want them to think it is okay to look like that! My girls are 5 and 3, and I worry that they will get a wrong perception of what you need to look like in order to be considered worthy or attractive.
