I think that when the Apostles wrote the Bible, they created excuses for every question or argument that might rise in the future.

For instance :
Why does God allow pain ? ----> Original Sin.

Precisely!
They also shoot down logic, peace & tolerance by saying that the anti-christ would bring all of those & the world would be peaceful. The bible "warned them" about free-thinking people & that god despises free-thinkers.... Free-thinkers are the devil's children and a threat to the faith of the believers.

They're all a bunch of psychotic puffs who will use any excuse to justify following this poorly written fantasy novel.

The authors of the Bible struggled with many of the same questions that we do today - for example, they had suffering back then too. So of course they tried to find answers to those questions. That is the whole purpose of the Bible. To answer the questions about God, life, the universe and everything else.

God doesn't necessarily "allow" pain. It is a result of decisions made sometimes we reap what we sow and sometimes we are affected from what someone else might have done. We must learn from these problems and ask God for guidance. We all can find problems and something wrong with everything. You have to have a positive attitude and be a grateful person for the wonderful things you have been given. God knows all so the Bible was written to provide guidance for everyone all they have to do is ask for forgiveness and guidance, want him to come into your heart and things are so much better.

Yes, the Bible, more specifically the Old Testament, is just a compilation of myths. Just like Greek or Roman mythology. I would say this is Hebrew mythology.

Some of that was written in, more so in the Pauline work than the Gospels. What you're seeing is two thousand years of interpreting it to explain away everything. And make sure that its adherents never bother to listen to other points of view.

the bible is complex, no one really truly knows what the meaning behind the words and scriptures no matter what. only those who originally wrote it can tell us...i dont think they have an answer for that in the bible.

I think it goes much deeper than most want to realize, or bother believing or trusting. I believe that it is the most excellent History book and Greatest Gift ever handed down to mankind. :O)

It certainly may seem that way on occasion.
Please recall, the Bible, for the most part, provides principles.
They are like tools ....you got to know how to use them.

Actually, it goes further back than Original Sin.

Satan, and his way of "me me me" presumed that he could run the universe better than God.
God said, oh yeah? Let's see.

Read the book of Job, to get a picture of what I'm talking about here.
Satan was there before mankind.
