NO! NO! NO!
I am a Christian and I really HATE it when other Christians whine and complain about being persecuted in our country when 80% of us are Christian and we are the wealthiest most politically powerful religion in the region at present.
There are people in the world who are REALLY being persecuted. I mean they are being killed, tortured, raped, exiled etc for their faith, their gender, their race etc.
Certain Christians should stop crying WOLF everytime someone hurts their religious pride or they are not popular or coodled EVERYWHERE they go. They have NO idea what REAL persecution is and are just spoiled.
Get strong in your faith and get a backbone!
Keep in mind that this country is not a "Christian country" it is "One nation under God" but people are 100% free to decide for THEMSELVES who that God is and how or what they should do in relation to that God. Christians should stop acting like they are MORE entitled than anyone else.
I believe in our secular democracy. It protects us ALL from fundamentalism chaos and sectarian violence.

I would say absolutely not. If anything, Evangelical, American Christians are the ones persecuting others.
How many times have we heard about the groups that are out picketing the funerals of our fallen soldiers? How many times have Evangelical Christian groups banned together to protest the rights and freedoms of others based on religion, race and sexual preference?
As I said, Evangelical American Christians are the ones doing the persecuting.
Blessings,

As an American Christian, I don't think so. I think political correctness will get to the point (sometime in the indefinite future) where anyone with any religion will be persecuted though.

Yes, Persecution is a promise if we are to follow Christ. "Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted," (2 Timothy 3:12). But, that does not mean we are to do nothing about it. Christians are to be active, promoting the gospel, working against the rise of secularism, and seeking to present the truth of God's word to the lost. For this, we will face opposition.

i could say surely no longer. If something, Evangelical, American Christians are those persecuting others. what number cases have we heard regarding the communities that are out picketing the funerals of our fallen infantrymen? what number cases have Evangelical Christian communities banned mutually to protest the rights and freedoms of others in line with faith, race and sexual selection? As I suggested, Evangelical American Christians are those doing the persecuting. advantages,

Here, there is still a good amount of freedom, to read the bible, to preach etc.... However, that will probably not last for long. Persecution can also be in the form of spreading lies and propaganda about a group. I think that is very common in the U.S..

How could such a powerful group of people be persecuted? They outnumber all other religious followers and atheists. They have lots of money and build huge, expensive churches. If anything, some of the most conservative ones are persecuting everyone else.

Yes, the objective is to first remove Christianity from the public square. I promise you that if this effort is not defeated, it will continue from there. You can not gain full control of the minds of people with Christian morals involved. A conspiracy? Yes, but it is not really a secret and can be defeated.
On the other hand, many Christians want to pass laws to control you also. Govern yourself accordingly!
