Mat 19:17
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Doesn't this mean that Jesus(pbuh) is denying that he's god or that he's divine in anyway.

sometimes i get very pensive and when i get like that i get all philosophical. sometimes i do regret loosing and not being pure [even if i know i will never marry[sorry i just dont beleive a man can be fathful so i rather love myself]] but at other times that experience was a part of me and i had to go through it to relate to certain aspects of life. i dont know...so do you regret ever loosing it?

How many of you will admit that you don't know if there's a god and you don't know if there's an afterlife?

The most annoying and stupid thing said by christians that I constantly read here is them going on about how the "know" everything that happens after you die. They "know" every detail. They "know" what god is real and what gods are fake. The "know" everything this god does and thinks.
NO ONE KNOWS!
I am an atheist and I'll gladly admit that I have no idea if there is a god or not. I have no idea if there is an afterlife or not. I just don't BELIEVE.
I think Christians need to start using the words "I believe" instead of "I know".

It seems that no one seems to like satanists. Why is this? I used to have a friend (I moved) and he was a satanists, he was just. He didn't sacrifice goats, or want to hurt people or anything. He just merely believed that satan was his Saviour instead of jesus or vishnu, ect. (seeing as in the bible, satan possessed a snake and got adam and eve to eat the fruit, thus giving them free will). Btw I'm an athiest myself.

Do Jehovah witness believe in abortion? do Jehovah read from the same bible as Christians? what are Jehovah?

okay, so Jesus was tempted by satan in the wilderness and he did not give in. but here's where I'm confused.

I'm a woman, if I see another woman and am immediately attracted to her, is that sin? I am tempted by her beauty and think she is beautiful but I do nothing about it. Have I sinned just for thinking that?
In the bible it says a man shall not lie with another man, that is sin. I haven't lied with her or done anything, but I have fallen in love with her.
Even though I refuse to do anything physical with her, is the feeling itself sin? When a woman sees a man and is attracted to him and they court each other, those feelings for each other aren't sin... so if the answer is yes to my previous questions.. how come it is not sin for the heterosexual couple to have feelings for each other and not do anything.. and the gay couple it is not okay?

Do you get what I'm trying to ask here? Please help.

Does Harem have children or parents? If Jewdaism is the way to get closer to Harem nd get more rewards hereafter..then why are ppl discouraged to convert to Jewish by the Orthodox Rabbi?

Why do Jewish have o have two pots for cooking. After meat are they not allowed for six hours to eat any dairy products ? Why is that?

Never before have I really noticed that that there were two distinct Spirits in the Bible.. The Spirit of God and the spirit in man. That when we are saved that the Lord does not come into our hearts right away.. but He comes into our spirit first and from there makes home in our hearts through faith. " He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit" ONE SPIRIT? Two becoming one? A mingled spirit? I find this facinating.

I have seen a lot of questions and discussions are here today regarding this topic. I challenge you to give me one solid example from the Bible showing that it is a contradiction. I feel confident that I will be able to refute these so called "contradicitons." And please, I'm not doing this for comments that "attack" Christians, just like I'm not "attacking" those who disagree with me. Can we just have a friendly discussion here?

Those trying to lend scientific credence to The Bible often cite Isaiah 40:21-22 - "the circle of the earth."

But a circle is flat, not spherical. Is there another quote from The Bible that I've missed? Where does it claim the Earth is a sphere?

Christians witness to the lost about the truth! Jesus and His word! We witness because we care for other people's souls and don't want no one to go too hell. A true christian has love in there hearts and only tell the truth. I am not ashame of Jesus! I love shareing Jesus with others! Christians do not judge or hate! We care and love people! We hate sins. But we love the person! Thats why we pray for the person that is lost. Sins will not enter Heaven! Jesus forgives! You only got to ask Jesus into your heart and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Live for Jesus! Jesus saves!! Christians do not force anything on others. We witness to them and then pray for them. The rest is up to that person too accept Jesus or not! We need to put Jesus back into our schools and every where on earth! For Jesus is our God and He created us all and Heaven and Earth! I think some people get upset when a person witness to them. because deep down they know its true and that they are doing wrong!

You basically have to be psychotic to have the faith required to found a religion.

You have to hear the voice of God inside your head. There is absolutely no one in the world that can make that claim without getting medication. If the medication makes the voices go away were they really there.

It annoys me. I have an intelligent Christian friend who believes that Genesis is an allegory to the Big Bang and evolution. Yet, when I suggested that the stories of Jesus might be just tales to encourage people to live a moral life, rater than a literal history , he got angry at me. How does this make any sense?
