Atheists I know where you are coming from because I thought as you do.
God is real and it was only by turning and being healed by Jesus that I now see Him.

Joh 15:18 "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
Joh 15:19 "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Joh 12:40 "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them."

I have a question to ask you? Why would God send His son to die for a world that is full of sin if He hated it? God is love! He loved us first. Us being the world who rebelled against Him. Who loved sin more, who loved ourselves more than God. I don't believe that atheist hate God. I think atheists have had something happen in their lives and it has caused them to hurt, and they protect their heart from God. They probably feel like God himself has betrayed them because the pain has blinded them from seeing the truth. As time marches on, that pain becomes anger and bitterness. We must truly pray their hearts to be healed. God is love and God loves the world! Hates the sin, loves the sinner. We all have sinned, we all are sinners but even when we sin against God, He still loves us. To any parent, if your child, said something or did something against you, you still love them anyway! So does God love you! But, also as a parent, you are responsible for disciplining your child to protect them later in life. So does God, that's why he asks us to repent to change our ways, so that we may live a long and productive life.

it's an interesting but very fanciful point you're raising. people (not just atheists) go by DISCOVERIES made by science. now, if they were all lying, then we delve into the realms of some huge conspiracy theory, probably the biggest one EVER - science is all a lie...but what reason would every scientist in the world have for fabricating their findings? it's about making discoveries, not trying to persuade people to believe something that has no evidence at all. to be quite honest, what you're suggesting is actually a little ridiculous. it's interesting, and would make an interesting plot point for a book, but suggesting that all scientists are lying is about as far fetched as telling people they have to believe in God. so, no, personally i'd say that it is in no way the same thing. belief in God is what it is - belief. it's not trying to prove anything, it's trying to persuade people to belief predetermined truths. the point of science is to discover new things - or, if you're somehow right in in your suggestion, to lie and trick everyone...but again, why? it's not blind faith in science, it's not faith at all if the discoveries have already been made - people have faith in science to continue advancing and improving our knowledge of ourselves and the things around us.

lol, I dont hate peter pan, and dont believe he exists either. Sorry if thats disappointing. I guess the reason I have an issue with it is once you are outside the Biblical indoctrination and look at truely how mentally ill the people in the Bible are its a little frightening. Frightening that people use this book as a basis for decision making.

Sure you did.

We don't hate your god. We are frequently angered by many of the things that his followers do...like declare war on anyone different for example, or try to force their morality into everyone elses' lives, or insert their superatitions into science as if it were fact, or trying to pass laws based on their personal religious beliefs regardless that others might not hold those beliefs.

i don't hate god...I use god in a generic reference because who really knows which god you are referring too. What I hate...yes HATE...is proselytizing fanatics that disrupt my peaceful life by harassing me with their 'faith'. Namely, I hate Jehovah's Witnesses simply because they knock on my door three times a week despite the fact that I live in a controlled gated access community and have it posted not to trespass. I hate these people witha passion, and open the door naked every time--come to think of it..maybe that's why they keep coming back.

If you saw a starving child on the street,
and a billionaire walked by and laughed in that child's face,
would you not hate that billionaire for not sharing a meal or some sort of help?
God is like a billionaire, except more wealthy. He has unlimited wealth.
He laughs in our face with His selfishness.
How could one not hate Him?

You Christians are like ignorant children in love with your shiny red tricycles. You feel that because you love them so much, everyone else should have them.

Atheists are ADULTS. We have no desire or need for tricycles. But if you have fun playing with them, by all means enjoy. Too bad you choose to not grow up.

Wow I'm guessing that you don't like Atheists. lol. Those are such great verses. I like Rom. 8:5-10. It is similar to those verses that you showed.

Atheists have not experienced what you and I have...therefore they do not understand...for them seeing is believing and that's very understandable...when we pray for them or attempt to guide them (preach) they become angry because they simply do not understand. We can only hope that one day they will have the opportunity to experience what we have and therefore make a fair decision. When they look at the whole picture they do not see the same things we do...we are fortunate enough to see more....
