I am 18, and have been raise by a lutheran mother. She tells me about G-d and jesus, but we don't go to church. I beleive in a G-d. I've had doubts about jesus being the son of G-d in the past and still do. I think he was a kind and loving man. Everyone says nonbelievers and homosexuals ect. ect. will go to hell, but I think jesus would sit down with anyone. Am I still a christan? I'm a good person, I haven't killed anyone! Will I be stuck in a eternal hell because I simply havn't exlaimed someone my savior?

Why do "Christians" keep answering the same stupied questions that are asked by the same people over and over again just to tease you and get you upset? Don't think you will be the one to change their minds, they have heard it all before and only the Holy Spirit can change them. Don't you know if you would stop falling for this they would go and play their games somewhere else?

Have you noticed how so many come into this forum trying to stir up controversy? We who believe know the Lord calls "all". Is it any wonder their here? They are hurting and searching and the Lord has not given up on them. We will only know in heaven how many have been saved by words spoken in this forum that melted their hardened hearts. I'm thankful they are here because it tells me God has not given up on them.

I mean, if you disprove evolution, how can you indirectly prove biblical 6 day creation? When there are thousands of other totally different creation theories around religions.

How would you prove yours, I'm asking you, christians!

are there some people who are Christians out of fear of what may happen if they arent ?
now I know I have seen some who are Christian because they see a possitive message in the teachings of Jesus , and I can understand that
but to believe out of fear ? ...... is that the way to believe in anything ?
I really do struggle to understand this
it reminds me of terrorists who hold people hostage and asks them to repeat things on camera for the public
those held hostage will say anything not to be harmed
what kind of God would do this ?
what kind of love is this ?

I'm sorry that your answers to this question were pathetic.

I'm always doing that to the religiously convinced because I know more about your religion than you do.

One of you said Jesus volunteered to be sacrificed.
Would that make him anything like the 9/11 hijacker martyrs or the Jesuits in early Canada?

Another said the Aztecs had many Gods. What difference that makes I don't know.

What amazes me most though is how you all, who study the Bible together, contradict yourselves and stumble over each other when saying Jesus died , lived again or was resurrected, was a man and a God. Well did he die or not? I can't tell what you really think you know.. You should perhaps discuss this among yourselves off-line and submit a community answer.

Remember the Aztecs had "faith" too.

But the facts of Jesus' voluntary sacrifice of his human life to appease an God angry with man etc should be as obvious to you as they are to me.
Why don't you just accept it and move on?

Would people in 2000 years be just as disillusioned about the bible as we are now, and do you think people would have developed more or less than us now as a race? (The human race I mean). What other issues would this raise?

Also, do you think current events should be stored and recorded more carefully than they are now?

Why do christians/creationists suppose that if evolution is false, their particular biblical creation account by an allegedly omnipotent, omnscient perfect creator exists, and is valid?

Qur'an 24:34 "Force not your slave-girls to whoredom [prostitution?] if they desire chastity, that you may seek enjoyment of this life. But if anyone forces them, then after such compulsion, Allah is oft-forgiving."

Basically to me It seems to say: Don't make your women-slaves into prostitutes if they dont want to, but you are free to do what you want with them. But if another man rapes them it will be forgiven by default by Allah.

Please someone knowledgeable on the subject tell me how I am misinterpreting this command.

In the Bible the ancient prophets took young girls as brides and even God was supposed to impregnate Mary when she was barely a teenager.

If Jesus was God, then the two men on either side of him were suffering much more than him on the cross. Jesus would have known without doubt there was an after life. He would of not had any fear whatsoever. No suffering.
The two guys next to him didn't know for sure there was a heaven. They must of been scared that their life was about to end.
