I doubt that he was sick or a freak, the guy was orphaned at a very early age and his Uncle worked him very hard as a shepherd and looking after caravans,so he did not get an education and was illiterate, so he was no stranger to rejection and suffering.
Later as an adult he wanted to amalgamate Judaism and Christianity and again was rejected and so he invented his own religion from the two, how many hurt and rejected people have gone down this road.
It is fairly obvious that Mohammed did not write the Koran and so we have to realize that perhaps most of the passages dealing with the `Infidels` may well have been added by extremist Muslims.

Because you are looking at a guy from very long ago, who lived in a very different set of circumstances. Having a very young bride, having several wives, were both much more common in the old days, and much more reasonable. When trouble and disease made the average lifetime so much shorter, and child-bearing was so very hazardous, having a girl already married by the time she was able to get pregnant didn't seem so weird. (Unhealthy, however, unless they reached menarche much older than girls do today, which I believe was the case.)

Try to read the story of any historical character in the context of his times, or they almost all will sound like sick freaks.

Hi,
Welcome to the human condition. He was no more than any other man, and mankind is in a fallen state. Muhammad was no exception, and had many many flaws, and was also just another sinner like the rest of the human race, so don't be surprised that he had a freakish side.

You obviously have no idea about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). I suggest, if you are geniune and seriously wish to learn more about this great man in order to correct the misconceptions you have, then read the story of his life at the following link: http://www.angelfire.com/on/ummiby1/muh.html

It is all in how you perceive things. Sickness, like beauty, could be said to lie in the mind of the beholder.

it depends on whose point of view you are studying...there are many out there that just make **** up or twist facts around to suit their own purposes. its like that for many prominent people throughout history. especially those that tried changing things for the better....

You are too subjective and projecting your own mental sickness on others.
All is yellow to your jaundiced eyes.
