I'm a "creationist," and a Christian, and I don't believe that for an instant. I don't think that either evolution or creationism can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. There is evidence for both.
To be honest, I'm STILL not sure whether I take the Genesis account literally or not. I do believe that God created the earth. I believe that there's PLENTY of evidence to suggest that. However, there is not enough evidence to prove that the creation was done in six days. Not for me anyway.
Perhaps I'm just not the right person to answer this question, since I'm a skeptic.

I am a Catholic, and I don't believe in literal Creationism (ie, God took 7 24-hour periods to create everything) but I do believe that He did create everything!
Also, I don't think that proving or disproving evolution has much to do with it- if evolution is proven true, I will simply assume that that is how God chose to create the world.
As far as proving biblical creation, better apologists that I have set out ways to do it, most of which involve setting out all of the evidence for the integrity of the Bible.

i imagine the idea is that considering the fact that evolution theory seems to contradict the biblical account (taken as "actually" as a 5 year previous would take it), that they'd more beneficial ideal attempt to disprove it besides. they have given up on the geocentric theory - maximum of them - yet they are sticking with youthful Earth and smart layout and "dinosaurs roamed the planet with people because the Bible talks about Leviathan" (this is awesome what number grown adults actual believe that). all those who might want to write "allow's see who's ideal by utilising attempting out the technology, and to date the creationist have a serious lead in this debate" basically lacks even the flimsiest concept of what "technology" is. you'd be laughed off the degree by utilising each and every scientist contained in the international for declaring that. I heavily do not recognize the position you people get off - and by utilising the way, it continually seems as if you're attempting to prepare faith by utilising claiming that this is technology, and to disprove technology by utilising claiming that this is faith, that's almost a tacit acknowledgment that technology is valid and faith isn't.

I don't assume such a thing. As far as my own beliefs I am undecided about the literal 6 day creation or the longer one. Either way God was and is still in control.

The Abrahamic death cults of desert monotheism (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) all share the same creation myth... the one that appears in Genesis.
