LOL depends on which god you are referring to. according to christians those who do not accept christ as saviour is bound for the sulphurious fire and brime stone down in hell. Therefore anyone including children who havent even heard of christianity to going to hell when they die.

In hinduism and buddhism hell is on earth, therefore me and you are condemned anyway through continuous rebirth in successive lives and experiencing suffering as a result. And the only way to get out of this cycle is to find enlightenment and purification.

In Islam non-believers are only condemned to hell if they reject islam once they have received the true message behind the islam, in other words they get it but choose not to believe in it. Other non-believers will be judged in equity according to what they have done in the best of their knowledge, if their good deeds outweighs the bad then they go to heaven regardless of belief. Non-muslim Children who die will be given the reasoning of adults and they choose to go with the Creator or not to, its purely their own choice.

Hope this helps.

The answer from "religious" people is that God doesn't send people to hell - people do. It's your fault for disobeying God! You deserve to roast for all eternity, with no possibility of parole, because you masturbated too much and swore at your parents a few times.

Like "john_d_ayer's" cute little screed about how God is just like your dad - His house, His rules. And, as with most of our dads, if you break the rules, He hurls you into a pit of fire forever. And it's your fault! He's just being a stern but loving parent - right? Would DFS buy that argument?

(Incidentally, "Trinity," I'm flattered you quoted me, but by "you" I didn't mean "you" - in case that's your problem. To be honest, I'm not sure what your problem is - my remarks weren't "meant to offend" either.)

In Islam all the non believers will not go to hell and all the believers will not go to heaven too, we all under God mercy and will.
Hell in Quran is for the ignorant like the one who rejects the truth and he/she knows in depth ‘this is true or right’ then just simply denial the truth because of self interests or other selfish reasons.
In case of the people whom loving the truth and they just couldn’t get the chance to find or being expose to it God promise to accept them with good acceptance

Non-Believers choose to go to hell.

This is the same thing as parents and kids when they are over 21. Live in your parents house, follow their rules. Don't want to follow their rules, live someplace else.

When God created man God created the ability to choose. In order to choose you need three places. Two places to choose from and a place to be when you are making your choice.

God created the two choices, Heaven and Hell and then God created a place for people to hang out while they made their choice, Earth.

Your life, your choice.

PS: Didn't you ever read the books of the Prophets "To Life"? Does not Isaiah tell us there is no saviour but God? Does not Samuel tell us that the people reject God as king? Does not Zachariah tell us that the One True King comes riding into Jerusalem on the colt of an a**? Does Isaiah not tell us that he will be rejected, pierced and forced to spread the Torah among the gentiles?

Have not all these things happened?

True, my mother was not a Jew, but I have Jewish family and I know the 613. Still, I accept the One True and Living God through the Mosiach, the Messiah, the Christ.

You say it it like it's true, It's so unlikely that the Bible is true because there are infinite possibilities for gods and such that there is a one in infinite chance of the Bible being correct, but 2 billion people believe in it so there must be something special. But I claim to be a Christian and I don't think God judges people on their religion but on their behaviour in general. Anyway, it's not my fault I was born in a Christian country if Islam turns out to be correct.

Anybody that ever met evil face to face will understand why God has to send evil people to hell. If he didn't evil would never cease to exist (a horrifying thought). Hell, by the way, means not eternal life in fire, it is a death sentence. Eternal life, on the other hand, is a gift by grace, not merit.
"We have all been hurt in the battle with evil—and sensed the pain of defeat. Our death-sentence is as certain as that of the crucified criminal. But if we turn to the prisoner at his side we may, by virtue of that same promise, take courage today, “You will be with me in paradise”."

Because they have hardened their hearts to God and the possibility of his existence. However, all they have to do is open the door to their heart and allow God to reveal the truth about him to them, if they turn from their wicked ways and ask God to forgive them they will see eternal life in heaven with God forever and ever.

You have to understand why we need forgiving in the first place. We rebelled against our creator. We deserve punishment. God then gave a set of laws to live by called the 10 commandments, which we have broken every one of. He does not want to send us to hell, that is why he came and paid the price for us. But, if we refuse to accept his offer what other choice does he have? He has to be fair to all of creation.

From an Arminian viewpoint, God is all loving, but forgives conditionally. Christ died for the sins of the world, but without acceptance as personal savior, the dividing line of death results in admittance to heaven or condemnation to hell.

Because You have to ask for forgivness from God and accept Jesus to go to Heaven. Nonbelivers don't ask for forgiveness because they don't believe hence they wind up in Hell.
