It seems that no one seems to like satanists. Why is this? I used to have a friend (I moved) and he was a satanists, he was just. He didn't sacrifice goats, or want to hurt people or anything. He just merely believed that satan was his Saviour instead of jesus or vishnu, ect. (seeing as in the bible, satan possessed a snake and got adam and eve to eat the fruit, thus giving them free will). Btw I'm an athiest myself.

I'm no Satanist, but I've had friends who were Satanists. Although I didn't exactly agree with their philosophy, I got along with them fine. The vast majority of Satanists I've met were LaVeyan Satanists, and didn't believe in an actual devil. Most were, in fact, atheists who also adhered to the Nine Satanic Statements.

Well. I'm a LeVeyean but I have a different purpose. Everyone judges Satanists, and anything with the word " Satan " in it.
I believe Lucifer is more Preferable than God or Jesus.
I believe God and Jesus dont exist due to reasons in my life, and plus, I'm a Athiest. Satan is no God, he's only a.. Well... Fallen Angel? But I believe he's just a normal and then not normal Person/Being. Everyone is afraid of Satan because they hear from others and believe it, they haven't actually expierenced Satan himself so they use other statements from other people that may or may not be true, And use it against Satanist.
It's hard to find someone who doesn't judge. Most churches try to force you and make you believe. Even try to make you fear, it's not hard. Christians and Churches who follow god ( I was a Christian but gave up believing due to reasons ) and they say, " God says accepts all " and Christians themselfs. And other God following religion, judges us Satanists or anyone who has a religion or belief with Satan in it and make us fear them. But all in Reality. Everyone fears each other. I don't fear God because they is no God. Satan has more preference than God in my Opinion.
Satan is a Good person, if you have Expirenced his presense and his angels. Then you can say what you feel, don't believe off of other's because you think it's something to believe in. Until you know for sure, then you can say something. I've expierenced it and It's not as bad as everyone seems. It's actually nothing to be afraid of.

EVERYONE doesn't hate Satanists. Most people never even give them a second thought, never mind bother to find out what they really do. True Satanism has nothing to do with the Devil as a being. The Devil is materialism which Satanists believe is all there is, the material world, and their pleasure in it. The Black Mass is merely a parody of the Catholic Mass, not a serious worship service.

Because most people from most religions are very closed minded about things they are told are "different" and "evil". People are terrible, even though most of their religions tell them to accept everyone. After all, that's what being a good Christian is all about, right?

Anyways, I'm an athiest my self with a athiest/satanist fiance, and a almost entirely Christian family. They know what we believe in, and they have no problem. They don't argue, or tell me that I'm going to hell or whatever.

So, not all people judge others based on their beliefs. It's just the very closed minded people that refuse to see beyond what their preachers and pastors tell them. Those people don't deserve anyones time or even acknowledgement.

Hope this helps!

It's because there's a long-standing preconceived notion of Satanism as an evil "cult" etc., making it appear more sinister than it actually is.
The stereotypes, some of which you mentioned above, are a few reasons why people, once they hear the term "Satanism," automatically spew out disapproval and harsh sentiments.
I, too, have friends that adhere to some of the beliefs, and are not at all bad people.
If people were accurately informed, some of the "hate" might dissipate, showing that satanism isn't really bad.

honestly Satan is a heckuv alot more interesting than Jesus. I mean he makes a single error and gets banned forever. I mean wheres the loving God that gets posted about all the time in R&S. I think God must have been hard to get along with. Probably was going on and on about worship me and Satan was like damn guy get over yourself already. About 1/3 of the angels agreed that God was a major bore and tried to kick him out. So no I dont hate them I think they just root for the underdog. Its all mythology and folklore anyway.

I like satanists. They keep to themselves and are usually peaceful people. Of course, just like there are extremist christians and muslims there are those who try to hide behind the title of satanist so they can continue their sprees of debauchery in the name of 'religion'. There are different types of satanists too. The LaVeyan's are my favorite...the theistic ones who actually believe that satan is a being..are kind of pathetic in the same way as christians.

I don't hate them. I actually don't know any theistic Satanists. The only ones I've met have been of the Church of Satan variety (and thus atheists).

I don't agree with them, but as long as they let me disagree without changing my laws to suit their morality we'll be fine. Oh wait, that's a different religion that keeps doing that, isn't it...

Some people are just stupid and scared, and hatred is the only response that makes them feel safe. Honestly, if someone is that critical of people based on their beliefs, they're not the kind of person I'd care about anyway.
