A faithless person filled with love for humanity, or a loveless person filled with faith in God?

2007-05-01 04:59:32 · 43 answers · asked by Lady Myrkr 6

We are all faced with problems, even children and have to decide what is the best thing we can do and should we do it. Is it the right thing to do. Science with all it's explanations doesn't help with moral guidance, deciding if you should help that needy neighbour, forgive the person that hurt you, or admitt to braking that expensive irriplacable antique that the shop attendent is getting sacked for doing. You can live happily with out knowing about atoms and evolution but you need some way of figuring out what is really best in difficult sittuations.

Can the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints transform to a reversal, since its founding, in 1830?

Is this even possible? If it did happened, would the Lord be patient and forgiving? Was Isaiah deceived or mistaken, or is this possibly his personal opinion?

Please explain Isaiah 1:2 as I am an investigator (nearing baptism next month), but fear I may anger my God.

Thank you for sincere answers. I want to join this beautiful church with all my heart, but I repeatedly was bothered by this verse. It just won't go away.

I spoke to my missionaries today, and they weren't sure. Any help?
.

In Genesis 6:15, God instructed Noah to build an ark that was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. This is a ratio of 30 to 5 to 3 (length to breadth to height). Until about 1858, the ark was the largest floating ship ever created. In terms that we understand better, the ark was about 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. In 1844, a man named Isambard K. Brunnel built his giant ship, the Great Britain. He used almost the exact ratio of the ark—30:5:3. As it turns out, these dimensions are the perfect ratio for a huge boat built for seaworthiness and not for speed.

What is more, shipbuilders during World War II used approximately the same ratio to build a ship known as the S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien (one of a group of ships known as the Liberty Ships, which were referred to as “the ugly ducklings”)—a barge-like boat built to carry tremendous amounts of cargo, just like the ark.

Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. ---- Jesus told the Jews, who claimed they were of Abraham, that they were of their father Satan. ---- John 8:44

Jesus was himself a Jew and he was the Messiah for the Jews. Jesus, however, is very clear as to the status of the fellow Jews who rejected him……

Jesus told the rebellious Jews, who claimed they were of Abraham, that they were NOT OF ABRAHAM because of their constant disobedience.

Jesus told the Jews who did not believe in him that they were MURDERERS.

Jesus told the Jews who did not believe in him that they were LIARS AND DECEIVERS.

Jews called the Jews who argued with him and rejected him the “Spawn of Satan”.

--------------------
Jesus compares the unbelieving Jews with the serpent devil

"Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?" (Matthew 23:33)

--------------
Synagogues Of Satan

"I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." (Revelation 2:9)

"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee." (Revelation 3:9)

Here Jesus says the real Jews are his followers and the disbelievers are NOT THE REAL JEWS.

Jesus also promises the believers, who are now called CHRISTIANS, that the disbelievers, who are now called JEWS, will always be under their feet as a symbol that Jesus Loves THEM.

-------------
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." -- Matthew 10:16

Jesus calls the Jews who did not believe in him "WOLVES" and the Jews who did believe in him as "SHEEP". The believers should become as wise, sneaky and deceiving as the generation of Serpents/vipers otherwise they will not survive the onslaught from the disbelieving Jews ?

Have the wolves deceived the Sheep to such an extent that they now believe the very same people whom Jesus called Vipers and the Spawn of Satan are “GODS CHOSEN PEOPLE” ?

Acutally they were the “chosen people” before they rejected Jesus and a curse was put on them. God shifted the prophethood out of them and established a new “Jerusalem”(Holy city of peace) also.

“By deception thou shalt do war”

Instead of the disbelieving jews worshipping at the feet of the Christians, the Christians are worshipping at the feet of the “Chosen People” whom Jesus called the Spawn of Satan ?

This is the bible, read it for yourself.

What do you think ?

This is a follow up on my earlier question. If God will not forgivr me unless I forego my sinful gains, what should I do with that gain. To be precise, if I've stoeln somebody's wife - and that theft was planned, I aslo used my position of trust. The couple ended in divorce and I was the party that cause the divorce. I pray for fogiveness. I keep the woman. If I don't keep her, isn't that being selfish?

NB. This is a true life story - and I am the victim! A Catholic priest has stolen my wife - or should I say my wife has slept with a Catholic priest and we are now going through a divorce!

The more I look, the more disturbing information I find out about the LDS Church. I just learned that people in the temple had to make covenants to be violently killed by God if they revealed the temple signs and tokens. This one really is true. It's not just a lie.

Why would God EVER want His children to do that? What justification could you give to say that this practice is holy? Jesus himself even said not to swear by your own head (life)!! This seems like the most unholy practice for any church to practice, let alone one that says it's the only true church. Is it possible that this was an apostasy that happened and that it was later corrected?

Did Joseph Smith start this or was it added later? Can anyone please give me information about where this started? I really NEED to know. Thank you.
