Even God says humans will never be able to stop their sins, so why try to take the one hardest thing to take away, of all things, masturbation?

Would you celebrate a holiday whose sole purpose was to celebrate the non-existance of Santa Claus?

I'd assume no for most people because if you dont believe in Santa Claus, you just ignore him and go about your regular day. There is no dichotomy between Asanta vs. Santa.

Why then, was it ever Athiesm vs. Thiesm? Would it not be logical for those that assert the existance of thiesm to prove themselves instead of reversing the argument and saying "you can't prove that there isn't."

They were not organized like a religion, government or controlled by men. They have always been grassroots movements based upon teaching and preaching from the Bible.

These traits make them incomprehensible for the Organized religions and their historians, so their existence in denied. Yet spiritual links can be found in every age, and in almost every country on EARTH, not just in Europe.

Koran ( 9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; And there was peace.

If this is correct, and the USA is the Eagle, and they believe the Koran, why would anyone hate the USA because of it. I personally do not have any knowledge of the Koran. I am a Christian, and follow God's word, not Allah's, or whomever else's. However, I am curious...

I know some claim that Christians accuse them of having no morality. I don't share that belief but I would like to know how you determine say simple murder is wrong? Note I am not raising contravercial aspects such as abortion, or wars. Just simple murder. Assume I am a bike gang member and I feel it is a good thing as it part of survival of the fittest. Why is murder wrong? Again consider that laws change and different socieites have different laws determined by their own common sense. Who says one persons morality is superior to another? If evolution is the governing truth should we not be more concerned with survival of the fittest at the expense of the weak? Sorry for the lengthy question but I am trying to get people to dig a bit deeper.

The church had dramatic plays (passion plays) during the middle ages to draw people to the church. So isn't the Mega-chuch a continuation of this tradition? People expect entertainment, this is the TV generation whose contributions are needed.

"So He said to them, “You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on my right hand and on my left is not mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by my Father.” --Matthew 20:23

had supposed said in the Bible???
What is your point by reprinting the entire bible in this site for answering simple questions ?
This a Q&A site, not a church of some kind. All we want is YOUR PERSONAL OPINION, not a story from dead people.

If you put these quotations, it means you cannot answer anything on your own, Reading the bible DOES NOT mean understanding the bible and the true meaning of it.
Anyone who is taking the bible (Old and New Testament) literally word for word is really a brainwashed person.

The boy was forced to go to counseling by his family...he was forced to receive the counseling from a pastor....the child is a minor. So, his family sought the advice from a pastor rather than a trained professional counselor...obviously, the family should be held somewhat responsible...but, it bothers me that pastors are not required to have psychological training before counseling troubled people.

I started reading the left behind books and of course I started thinking that I could be left behind. Anyway I went to confession and the father at my church told me that I shouldnt read those books. He says they are false and blah blah blah and people actaully believe that that's whats going to happen. Does the Catholic church really not approve of these books or just him? He's the only one I've heard this from...other people that I know that are catholic have read them too even a Sunday school teacher.

"So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified." (Esther 7:10)

"The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand." (Esther 9:10)

**It is best to read the entire Book at one sitting.

If you home school your kids how do you like it? I don't have kids yet, but my husband and I have been seriously considering the possiblity of me home schooling our children. There is just too much crap in schools nowadays...kids are becoming sexually active when they are 13 or younger...drug use is rampant...I know our society and their parents lack of guidance is to blame, but I really don't want my kids around that. I know they will be confronted with it when they're adults, but by then it will be up to them to make the right choices and hopefully I would have enstilled good values in them. I don't know if I feel sound sending my children away 8 hours a day to be influenced by other people's thoughts and opininons when they could be influenced by mine...what do you think?
