Assuming that love is a complex of mixed emotion and intelect... What are it's component parts, i.e., trust, desire, honesty, devotion, etc., and are these parts constant?

(Please don't answer "God is love." We've heard it a billion times already.)

Is this not a non thinking, narrow minded, irrational, deluded, dangerous, unintelligent way to live and think? What about reason, common sense and logic?

We are urged to forgive, even if the transgressor doesn't ask for it. Jesus did this, but how often do we?

We are urged to suffer for righteousness' sake. Jesus did this, but when was the last time you saw a Christian suffer without uttering a word in their own defense? Today, we Christians seem to be more worried about defending ourselves than obeying what Jesus commanded us to do.

Please read this story IN ITS ENTIRETY. Ask yourself: if you were this woman, could you -- would you -- forgive these Muslims?

Basically is there a petition that can be done to stop them, criminal charges, or even treason of their own country?? I put Baptist and church in quotes, because it is debatable as to whether they are a church or not.

Well if that the case, maybe I need to die now. So I can get into heaven.

Why live and stay alive when you can go to heaven.

I overheard a group of christian girls talking at college about covering thier heads for prayer, one girl said that because she prays all the time she now wraps her head so hat it is always covered.

Whats your view?

How did this happen? Someone complained about prayer in school, and we said OK. We were not allowed to teach thou shall not kill, or steal, or love your neighbor as yourself. and we said OK. Dr. Spock said we could harm our children by spanking them, and we said he must know what he's talking about so we won't spank our kids. Then we said teachers & principals better not touch our kids and they said we don't want bad publicity or be sued, and we all accepted the reasoning. Then someone said lets let our daughters have abortions without telling their parents.& since boys will be boys lets give them condoms at school and they can have all the fun they want, and we said those are great ideas.Elected officals said what they do in private doesn't effect their jobs and we said OK so long as we have jobs and the economy is good. In the name of free speech we have sites for porn and kiddie porn,we have entertainment that encourages all kinds of evil. Why do you then ask where is God?

(1) NOWHERE in the Scriptures does it say that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was homosexual sex.

(2) A gang of xenophobic men wanting to force sex on two angels they assume to be strangers in their land, is actually RAPE, not homosexuality.

(3) Men of the city were engaged to Lot's daughters and the city was populous, Lot even offered up his two daughters as a distraction so obviously most in Sodom were heterosexual. And YES, straight men ARE capable of raping other men. e.g "prison"

(4) Ezekeiel 16:48-50 states clearly that Sodom's sins were pride, their excess of food, lack of charity and idolatry. In Matthew 10:14-15 and Luke 10:7-16, Jesus showed Sodom's sin was their inhospitable attitude to strangers. Jude's condemnation was because the angels were "strange flesh" or non-human which made sex with them reprehensible.

There are other verses in the bible more relevant to certain forms of homosexual acts. This is not one. Why do some CONTINUE to misuse it?

Would you like to tell us what kind of morality encourages people to worship a god who drowns babies?

And if your morality can encompass the idea of worshipping a god who drowns babies, and can encompass the idea that anyone who doesn't worship a god who drowns babies will be thrown into the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, what kind of morality are you encouraging in others?

The Christian religion is neither a monothiesm or polythiesm. Instead they have a fractionalthiesm, in that they split their God with no name into three psyche. One aspect, Jesus, actually has a name. Both Jesus and the Holy spirit seem to have limited independence of the original's control in words and movements.

I vote for the latter, because the whole point is the passing on of successful traits, not the utilization of them. Everything dies...It's the ones that die AFTER making viable babies that matter.

With my job, I'm once again in a situation where I can only attend church sporadically and am looking for a different church anyway. What are some ways for a Christian who cannot attend church to stay spiritually strong? My schedule varies each week at the restaurant, so I cannot attend any type of organized fellowship regularly.

Thanks!

People who have different ideas, or mistaken ideas, is one thing. But people who have no idea, and can't read, and can't think...we have to consider them too. To make the world a better place, we have to consider all types of people, even the terminally combative zombies. Is that the hardest task, and is it solely our responsibility?

Doesn't a miracle prove He exists? If He is willing to prove He exists, why do you say He won't do anything to prove He exists?

Why was God willing to prove He exists to Adam, to Noah, to Abbraham, to David, to Solomon, to all those who witnessed the parting of the Red Sea, to all those who witnessed the birth of Jesus, to all those who witnessed the baptism of Jesus, to all those who were fed with the loaves and the fish, to those who saw Jesus walk on water and calm the tempest, to those who witnessed the ressurected Christ, to Paul on the road to Damascus?

Why does God have so many exceptions to His rule of not providing proof of His existence?
