Jesus said that to see the Kingdom of God, you must be born again.

So to be born again, means born of God, born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with King Jesus, part of the family of God.

We are to forgive one another. Because Jesus forgave us our sins and washed them away. So, likewise, we need to walk in forgiveness towards others, even those who harm us.

A person needs to realize that their sins separate them from God. The wages of sin is death. So, to repent and confess Jesus Christ Lord & Savior & believe in ones heart the resurrection is salvation (everlasting life). One can't go on sinning and expect to be born of God. They need to recognize Jesus as Savior & Lord. He shed His blood for the remission of our sins. We are forgiven. If we sin, confess it & he is faithful & just to forgive us & cleanse us from it. But realize we sin and not no it even after born of God & God only convicts us in the area God is working on. It is Gods Blood that makes us the righteousness of Christ. Not whether we sin or not. We are a work in progress. And God makes us right in His time. And He isn't condemning us even if we make a mistake. His blood covers us. There is therefore now no condemnaton for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Likewise we need to forgive others, or else suffer the conscequences & feel miserable. We are sinning if we harbor unforgiveness. So cannot abide in that if we are truly born of God. So, we walk in forgiveness. We are to pray for those who dispitefully use us also & bless those who curse us. We are to pray for others in Christ 24/7.

Gods commandment is to love God, love others, even love enemies.

If someone hurts you and is continually hurting you, you need to pray about/for this person. Ask God to protect you. God is our avenger. We don't need to be worried that they don't get what is coming to them. Pray that they get saved.

Believing Jesus Christ is God and following God's Word, not man or religion. As for the forgiveness issue, you are confusing apples with oranges. It is the difference between a way of life[forgiving and not having a hate-filled heart],and salvation[sin separated us fromGod.Unless we accept that and repent of it,there is no way for a just God to forgive us].We all live by some standard rules in life.We don't always concur with them. But most obey them to avoid prison.God set down the rules for our salvation and we have a choice to obey or disobey, and then live with the consequences of our actions.

I ask that too at times. Look at the Amish, the time that the guy came into the school and shot and killed all those children. The families said that they forgive him, but how can you forgive a horrendous act like that? I feel it's human nature to say you forgive but do you really?
You want to, you try to, but your not perfect and that's where faith comes in. God is all powerful and it's up to him to say that you are forgiven. All you can do is ask for forgiveness for feeling the way you do. Maybe we can learn something from them.

I can see that alot of folks -- even my Christian brothers and sisters -- misunderstood the question I asked.

Of course, we are only saved by belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. But once we've agreed to believe, too many of us are not following Jesus' commandments. Why? Some say the commandments are too hard, even though He said His burden was light compared to the Mosaic Law.

The answer to your question is this: God tells us that vengence is HIS, and His alone. Jesus commanded us to suffer for the fact that we're Christians. When we are persecuted, we are to remain silent. When we are wronged because of our Christianity, we are to be SILENT and forgive. But how often do we see this behavior in real life? Very seldom, especially in the West.

I would say the bottom line is this: if a person says they follow Christ, yet refuse to suffer and forgive for His sake, they are liars -- to themselves AND to God.

EDIT: Pastor Chad, you are a true man of God.

Forgiveness is something you do for yourself. If you didn't forgive others you would be killing youself with negative feelings all of the time. It's torcher! I think TRUE Christianity is trying to do what most religions are trying do. To become loving, unselfish people and to create a sense of brotherhood between men.

A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

Their dogma is backwards as hell. They simply have a variety of philosophies combined, that contradict one another constantly.

Forgiveness makes you feel good. That's why they preach it. Their god is just an addendum.

Same way with asking forgiveness from their god. The god is simply another addendum. They could just as easily forgive THEMSELVES. But they have a pretend person to apologize to instead. Either way, guilt is removed from their shoulders.

But all of the good things religion provides can be provided by philosophy. Gods, and the dogma that comes with them, are outdated methods of control... nothing more.

Yes. The Christian religious people have a real variety of contradicting points of view and many of these points of view lead to violence. Not only between nations but on various communities of Christian thought.

Having looked at many answers; I have seen a huge array of contradictions. I don't think that there is a true Christian religion. There is too much violence inherent in the Bible. Christianity was born out of violence and remains so.
Violence has dogged Christian belief for centuries. There is a litany of horror and death.

Certainly shows a very violent portrait

matthew 26: 39-43 Talks about Jesus not wanting the cross and weeping bitterly cuss of it. 3 times he does this, and goes to the deciples and yells at them and says why r u not praying, why r u not seeing,,,,,,,.Cuss of this, that is why the great seeker came up with this with the help of the Lord.

walk in perfection....to tell God not to cry, I am hear to love u.

Romans 3
10. there is none righteous, no, not one.
to me it means he is yelling at u(not me I'm seeking)ex like a class room, none of u here r rightous, no one here is.
in verse 11 he tells why.
11. there is none that understandth , there is NONE that seeketh after God.
in this verse hes saying u can understand God if u seek him. Everyone that I talk to says no one can understand God, why does the bible say I can understand him.
12.They are all gone out of way, they together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, NO,NOT ONE.
in this verse he is telling everyone that they r no good to him, garbage, again he yells at u. So God is calling everyone garbage. How does it feel christians that the lord calls u garbage, maybe u should start to seek, or ask God how to seek.
13. thier throat is an open sepulchre; with there tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips.
verse
14. whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
15.their feet are swift to shed blood.
part 2

verse 13-15 means what your ways r, and what the lord thinks of them. Look at your heart r u a cursing person, murderer(hope not) do u lie the poison of the asps.(snake)
16. Destruction and misery are in THEIR ways.
verse 16 means look at your life think of all your suffering, the trials, the scares. This is because u go your own way.
17.and the way of peace have they not known.
verse 17 talks about your life and your soul. Sence u r unprophitable why would God want u into heaven, if U seek his face u can find peace with God. The blood was sent to us because, God loved u and let u in heaven. HE gave u peace this way. But that was not the way God wanted it to happen, even if he planned it that way. Don't forget God had to go from his way, to our way, and save us from our ways.
18. there is no fear of God before their eyes.
no one fears God, all I hear alot from Christians is he loves me, so I'm forgiven. Then still sin. God wants us to fear him, and reconize what he did for us...
part 3

so to sum up, a man can walk perfect in his eyes if u seek his face and learn with understanding his ways to get into heaven. The blood was sent cuss no one seeked his face, God loved the whole world, and exepted there ways. But with a price, his son had to be beaten to death as the perfect sacrafice and rose again, so God would love us. Make us right with him. So walk with the Blood not in it.
