Assuming that love is a complex of mixed emotion and intelect... What are it's component parts, i.e., trust, desire, honesty, devotion, etc., and are these parts constant?
(Please don't answer "God is love." We've heard it a billion times already.)

God Is Love.
When one is born of God, born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with King Jesus, part of the family of God; that person is born of Gods Love.
Love is of the Spirit & felt spiritually. Love is of the soul & is felt souly. Love is of the flesh & is felt in the flesh. This is all types of love. And in the flesh it is chemical releases. Happiness can be chemical releases caused by thinking/saying positive. But also physically talking the positive it is more than just happy chemicals in our flesh. It is also affection our soul/spiritman.
The love affects complex components of our whole being. For those not yet born of the spirit, love affects their body & soul. For those born of Gods spirit, love affects their spirit, soul & body. Everlasting rewards for those in the spirit who do works rooted in faith, hope, love, joy, peace, patience, truth, etc...
Love is the Reason.

To quantify a quality, you are going to need a standard. That standard will need a zero point, and a finite limit. Metric is best. Let 0=sociopathy. Let 1000=martyrdom. M=1000m.
Love is an action, that generates from the Truth in an individual, and engages the Truth of a target. The Truth of the target responds with Beauty.
This probably won't be understood by many, but I think it is valid for those who have the need to dissect everything.
Quantify Beauty; H=1000helens (Helen of Troy had Beauty that launched a thousand ships) 1h=the Beauty required to float one man's boat.
Truth is the common denominator in the mathematical model of a loving relationship; x/T=1h/T. Solve for x.
XXX=the beauty required to seduce a society.
A word problem for the analytical mind; what is the value of XXX, assuming XXX is the 'whore of Babylon'.
Dissecting noble gifts can be weird...

Human love is everything including the kitchen sink. This is why human love fails and can never be relied on. It ends up being what each individual wants it to be, rather than what it should be. Divine love is the only love because it is pure---it consists of nothing other than the mind of God, and God is love. Divine is love is unconditional goodness, it has no faults and is never selfish. Human are incapable of expressing divine love because they are incapable of receiving it due to sin and prejudices. Pride is the villain that knocks divine love off the table. Therefore, we must settle for what we can create out of our limited capabilities, which is drawn from the emotions. Emotional love is reactionary. It reacts to perceptions of good and evil. Divine love knows only goodness.

Love is so simple! Why struggle to explain it? 1 Cor 13:4-8 says it all! Some people think they don't know how to love and overlook all the love they feel for people and things in their life already. They just need to add more of what they're already doing. Decrease all the hate and anger and you can see it more clearly. Even grouches love their beliefs.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

I am happy when the people I love are happy. It hurts me when they suffer. I like to do things that make them happy.
Things like trust and desire and devotion are signs of this, but they are not its cause. They happen naturally.
