We are urged to forgive, even if the transgressor doesn't ask for it. Jesus did this, but how often do we?
We are urged to suffer for righteousness' sake. Jesus did this, but when was the last time you saw a Christian suffer without uttering a word in their own defense? Today, we Christians seem to be more worried about defending ourselves than obeying what Jesus commanded us to do.
Please read this story IN ITS ENTIRETY. Ask yourself: if you were this woman, could you -- would you -- forgive these Muslims?

Naruto, I don't hate Muslims. The point of the story isn't the Muslims -- it's how Christians reacted to what some misguided Muslims did.
Please read the story.

Gratvol, I could never die for the purpose Jesus did. However, if I were in the position of these men, I wouldn't have a choice. This woman had a choice: she could live the rest of her life in hatred or she could forgive. She chose the latter, because this is what Christians are SUPPOSED to do.

the word true Christian is a misnomer- either you are a Christian or you are not a Christian.
Christian means -a follower of the Messiah-from the Greek word Cristos. While many claim to follow the Messiah-Muslims say Jesus is the Messiah, most Jewish people today say they are waiting for the Messiah.
The Messiah was predicted in the Jewish Sciptures-to which Muslims for the most part say was changed=tampered with-by the Jewish people, Yet this is absurd-would the Jewish people who reject Jesus change their Hebrew Scriptures to point directly to Jesus???
A follower of the Messiah believes Isaiah=
9:6 Isaiah "Unto us is born a child, a son (YES GOD HAS A SON) is given, and he will be almighty God (Yes this child/son will be ALMIGHTY GOD), the prince of peace..."
Isaiah 52:13-53:12 also believed by followers of the Messiah and rejected by Jewish people and Muslims too. "He will be exalted and made very high. He will be marred more than any man. He will sprinkle many nations. He will be despised and rejected. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins.
THAT IS WHY THIS LADY COULD FORGIVE BECAUSE SHE HAD THE MESSIAH AND HE GIVES THE POWER TO LOVE YOUR ENEMIES.
As a 'true' Jew and follower of the Jewish Messiah Jesus, He is my best friend and Savior too, and he has helped me many times to forgive those that have persecuted me for believing in Jesus.
great question and it did bring out hostility-Jesus forgives these Muslims and all mankind-He did not say at his death for nothing about mankind that crucified him = "Father forgive
them , for they know not what they do."
Messiah Jesus forgave me for all my sins and come into my heart to be my savior and friend-
how could I do any less in forgiveness than Him even if they were to execute me for believing in the Messiah Jesus, even to those that say they believe in the words of the Messiah Jesus (Muslims), or in the promises of the comming Messiah (Jewish) yet reject him.

Forgiveness is a choice, not a feeling. I choose to forgive those who attack us.
But, I will also fight to the death to defend freedom. Be assured that Jesus is not a wimp and the fight for freedom is just. And in the very last days, the armies of Satan will be defeated once and for all and there will be a new heaven and a new earth.

I consider in Christianity in view that I consider there's one real God that created the universe and the whole thing in it. I seem in any respect that has been created and the best way the whole thing services adding persons, and notice clever layout at the back of all of it. There is great order to the whole thing. To supply credit score to the significant bang or evolution is an insult to God. You can get plenty of evidence from the Bible, however God Himself mentioned the universe is proof sufficient, so none of use may have an excuse while we are facing Him. Even the heavens proclaim Him. There are 2 crosses within the sky. You won't realize this, Jesus used to be the Word within the flesh. Many did not consider Him while He walked the earth, and plenty of nonetheless may not consider Him as He sits on their espresso desk. But, He will nonetheless name out to them, in view that He loves them. I realize this, BECAUSE THE BIBLE SAYS.

Honest answer, I don't know. I want to say yes, but the one who judges me reads hearts, so I can't. That kind of forgiveness is a gift of God.
I'm reminded of how I felt when the Amish elders and families proclaimed their forgiveness for the shooter of their children. They followed that up by attending his funeral and starting a college fund for his kids.
I am humbled by people like this.

Well of course this is true Christianity for someone who lives it with every cell in their body. This is the highest form which man has difficulty following. It is so easy to hate and so difficult to love the people that hurt us the most. I probably could not forgive, wish I could but I am just being honest about my limitations.

I don't think I could forgive in such a short time. Its not long ago this happened. Being lost in pain about losing a husband, as in this case I would not have much feelings towards the murderer. God wants us to obey his command and forgive, because he knows what's best for us.

so dose that mean your willing to die for other peoples sins just as Jesus did?
are you willing to go to hell to save others just as your Jesus did?
Edit
that is not what I asked you. I could care less about the story. What I really want to know is would you be willing to give up your own salvation for another person.
If you had the ablity to take any number of good non believers out of hell, but in return you would have to take their place. Would you do it?

matthew 26: 39-43 Talks about Jesus not wanting the cross and weeping bitterly cuss of it. 3 times he does this, and goes to the deciples and yells at them and says why r u not praying, why r u not seeing,,,,,,,.Cuss of this, that is why the great seeker came up with this with the help of the Lord.
walk in perfection....to tell God not to cry, I am hear to love u.
Romans 3
10. there is none righteous, no, not one.
to me it means he is yelling at u(not me I'm seeking)ex like a class room, none of u here r rightous, no one here is.
in verse 11 he tells why.
11. there is none that understandth , there is NONE that seeketh after God.
in this verse hes saying u can understand God if u seek him. Everyone that I talk to says no one can understand God, why does the bible say I can understand him.
12.They are all gone out of way, they together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, NO,NOT ONE.
in this verse he is telling everyone that they r no good to him, garbage, again he yells at u. So God is calling everyone garbage. How does it feel christians that the lord calls u garbage, maybe u should start to seek, or ask God how to seek.
13. thier throat is an open sepulchre; with there tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips.
verse
14. whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
15.their feet are swift to shed blood.
part 2
verse 13-15 means what your ways r, and what the lord thinks of them. Look at your heart r u a cursing person, murderer(hope not) do u lie the poison of the asps.(snake)
16. Destruction and misery are in THEIR ways.
verse 16 means look at your life think of all your suffering, the trials, the scares. This is because u go your own way.
17.and the way of peace have they not known.
verse 17 talks about your life and your soul. Sence u r unprophitable why would God want u into heaven, if U seek his face u can find peace with God. The blood was sent to us because, God loved u and let u in heaven. HE gave u peace this way. But that was not the way God wanted it to happen, even if he planned it that way. Don't forget God had to go from his way, to our way, and save us from our ways.
18. there is no fear of God before their eyes.
no one fears God, all I hear alot from Christians is he loves me, so I'm forgiven. Then still sin. God wants us to fear him, and reconize what he did for us...
part 3
so to sum up, a man can walk perfect in his eyes if u seek his face and learn with understanding his ways to get into heaven. The blood was sent cuss no one seeked his face, God loved the whole world, and exepted there ways. But with a price, his son had to be beaten to death as the perfect sacrafice and rose again, so God would love us. Make us right with him. So walk with the Blood not in it.

I read as much as I could stand of this story. Would I forgive them? NO, anyone who could do that to another human being cannot be human themselves. Christ forgave but he was divine, I am only mortal and this forgiveness is beyond my capability.
