Blaspheming the Holy Spirit. This is defined as saying that things of God are things which have come from the devil. Like when the pharisees saw Jesus perform a miracle, and they said in their hearts (and i'm paraphrasing a bit here) "his power comes from an evil spirit". They had completely hardened their hearts towards God. The reason this is unforgivable is that once a person has commited this sin, they will NOT WANT FORGIVENESS. They will not confess it to God. And it says in the Bible "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". But it is impossible for a true child of God to commit this sin. Because a true child of God cannot deny the Holy power of God. They are capable of being angry with God, and of wandering off the straight and narrow, but God will always seek after them. When the Bible says "I know my sheep, and no one can pluck them out of my father's hand" that includes yourself! It doesnt say "no one except you". And God certaintly wont do it either. He says "I will never leave you, nor forsake you". And that is an unconditional promise. Also it says that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to Him. Also, it says that God will never turn anyone away who truly comes to Him. So if you think you've commited an unforgivable sin, but you are asking God for mercy and forgiveness, then you did not commit an unforgivable sin.

Jesus is reported to have called Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit the unforgivable sin.

Unfortunately, no one can seem to agree on the definition of just what blaspheming the holy spirit actually means -- I've been trying to do it for months but people keep saying that it's not REALLY blasphemy unless this that or the other condition is met.

-------

Most people seem to be taking the 'saying Jesus did miracles by the power of the devil' view. So:

If indeed HaShem-Adonai is the one true deity, then any and all the miracles of Yshua bar-Ysef were of the adversary, evil incarnate, to deceive the Chosen People away from HaShem-Adonai. The holy spirit, as a divider, would be nothing but evil itself.

Jesus said that His shed blood is for the remission of our sins. So that would be all of them.

What isn't forgiven in this age or the age to come is blaspheming the Holy Spirit (saying the Spirit of healing or gifts is evil). I have seen people do this. They pretend they are speaking in tongues & mock this gift & give their middle finger to heaven. Mocking a Christian saying this isn't true. Etc. I can do this then ask forgiveness then I am saved. Pretend speaking in tongues saying 'bla bla bla bla'. In another language 'bla bla' means 'curse curse'. So that person will not be able to be forgiven when blaspeming God. I do believe it isn't forgiven then, but that person can realize the truth and repent and Jesus blood cleanses that person from all sin.

If a christian blasphemes the Holy Spirit, because of self righteousness, that Christian will get disciplined immediately. If Christian tries to continue calling the Holy Spirit evil, Christian may just go home early. Even lying to the Holy Spirit is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. As an example God took them home early for everyone in the Church to see.

This is just recent understanding I have in blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Mark 3:22-30 states,

"And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, 'He has Beelzebub,' and, 'By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.' …'Assuredly, I [Jesus] say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation;' because they said, 'He has an unclean spirit'"

In Matthew 12:31-32, Jesus says to the Pharisees,

"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come"

It is hinted (although there is debate) that Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is unforgivable.

All sin is forgiven when you accept that Christ died for you on the cross and rose again three days later. This is the ONLY requirement to get into heaven. Anything else is extracurricular and not required.

the only sin that is unforgivable is the sin that completely denouncing Jesus all their lives, and never accepts Him. Jesus died on the cross- and when He did He died so that we can be forgiven- if we confess and repent He is faithful to forgive us. Do not denounce Jesus and you can be forgiven whatever sin you have committed- NO SIN TOO BIG- they are the same in the eyes of a holy God;

Just 1: Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
So, what is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?
Avoiding debate over the trinity teaching, being that the HS is what God works through to accomplish his will, blasphemy against the HS would be knowingly working in direct opposition against the will of God. This is for believers who KNOW what God's will is, what his purposes are and works against the accomplishment of them, even though their efforts are futile, as God's Will will be accomplished.

Judas Iscariot was guilty of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, although his actions were foretold to happen, he chose to take that route and turn his back on God's chosen Messiah and set him up for execution.

To blaspheme against the Holy Ghost.

Mark 3:28 & 29 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme. But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: (kjv)
