Jane Martin- You are so very, very wrong. A catholic priest is not required for exorcisms. As a matter of fact, they have the most difficult time doing them because of their traditions. The most successful exorcists i know are all bible-believers, and not Vatican followers, like Russ Dizdar. I wish you would not come to conclusions like this with nothing to back that up

Catholicism has a very heavy past yes, like other old religionl You will find also in the Catholic religion the most powerful believers. Did you know only a Catholic priest will succeed at an exorcism? Instead of listening to the hearsay why don't you read the history of the Catholic religion you will find it the most mystical of all and the most interesting.

In your opinion, the Catholic Church represents the Fullness of hatred, filth, heresy, and the blood of innocence.
I have to assume that to be a non-Catholic is to endorse the fullness of love, truth, and embrace of innocence.
If your question is the measure of this love, truth, and embrace of innocence, one feels when no longer a Catholic, I can't think of a better reason to embrace Catholism even more so.
And hey, how about some examples of this so-called Catholic "hatred", and "filth", and "heresy", and "blood of innocence"?
Why no examples? You leave the intellectually honest no choice but to presume you are either unwilling or unable to provide any examples.
It really doesn't make any sense for to be unwilling. I'm sure that, if you could, you would have provided examples. That way, your question would at least appear to a little more reasonable.
The only other, and most likely, possibility is inability. If your are unable to substantiate your claims, it's dishonest of you to make them in the first place. Not to mention, damaging to what little credibility you may have had.
The intellectually honest have no choice but to dismiss you as a demagogue.

Every religion has a dark history. Christians burned witches, jews crucified Jesus, Pagans did blood sacrifices...it can go on and on. Does that make it bad? Not completly. Its one of the first Christian faiths and its had beauty, ritual and tradition with all the bad as well. Don't completly bash it. While I agree they need to update some of t hier beliefs, they still have a beautiful faith.

A genuine study of church history will indeed support your question and conclusion.
I am a real church historian, because I was tired of reading about a 'church' in history that had nothing to do with the Bible or Jesus' teachings. They just used, and continue to use the trappings of Christianity to push their agenda.
Real church history inspires faith. Catholic Church History inspire Atheism and Secularism, and rightfully so.

I am a Baptist born and raised. I don't really know all that much about Catholics, but the ones I have met seemed nice. You may not be a Catholic any longer, and you may truly believe what you are saying about them, but honestly I think you are judging them, and that is wrong no matter if your Baptist, Catholic, Methodist and so forth......

-got that right. It's a fricken joke. Is it about financial gain and how pimped out they can make their churches or the faith itself?? There's some major hypocrisy flying through there.
Oh, BTW, priests constantly involved in multiple molestations is not a history but of more recent times.
