By contrast what is a good measure of a person of faith?
Or perhaps what is the measure of a person who seeks God?

The true measure is behavior, not words.

I can only answer from experience.

The measure of faith co-insides with your love of God. If you don't love him how can you believe in him. The more you love him the more you trust him, faith.

It's the work you do for Jesus. It's what you do for the less fortunate. It's the spreading of the gospel.

A person can not have faith and not have good works. Praying and seeking God, doing his will.

James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

James 2: 17 & 18 Even so faith, if it had not works, is dead being alone. Yea a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I'll shew thee my faith by my works.

You can only measure faith by a persons works, and actions. This is not just talking about doing good. But serving God whole heartedly. Any thing less is little faith.

A good measure of a person of true Faith is that they also acknowledge the facts and other possible explanations, yet continue steadfast in their belief based on Faith. One does not have to give up Faith to acknowledge the truth of those things which seem to contradict what many others of one's faith believe.

It is NOT necessary, for instance, for one to go to church to have faith, it is not necessary for one to debunk science to have faith, it is not necessary to take any inflexible stand on the inerrancy of the Bible, the Trinity, Biblical history or individual church dogma to have faith.

A Christian does NOT have to turn their back on science, known history, reason, or logic to have Faith. As the ability to learn and obtain knowledge, to reason, to think logically and to look into ones past are abilities given by the Creater, not to use them would be an afront to the Creator.

your wrong a bout the science missy, its how willing they are, and how much patience they have to find the truth, no matter what people around them say. its persistance, concistancy.
and faith? well you cant measure that, due to the fact that it seems to have no limit, plus there are different belief systems, so you could have little faith in one groups eyes , but lots of it in anothers.
take two different PURE christains, they both believe god, but one beleives something different, the other person probably thinks that the other is wrong for beleiving that, and thinks that they dont have enough faith.
pure logic friend ^_^

i think in Christianity by using fact i think there is one actual God that created the universe and each thing in it. i glance in any respect that has been created and how each thing applications including people, and notice smart layout in the back of all of it. there is superb order to each thing. to grant credit to the super bang or evolution is an insult to God. you may get lots of evidence from the Bible, yet God Himself stated the universe is evidence adequate, so none of use could have an excuse whilst we are dealing with Him. Even the heavens proclaim Him. There are 2 crosses interior the sky. you won't know this, Jesus became the be conscious interior the flesh. Many did no longer have faith Him whilst He walked the earth, and many nevertheless won't have faith Him as He sits on their coffee table. yet, he will nevertheless call out to them, by using fact He loves them. i know this, by using fact the BIBLE SAYS.

Faith is an abstract. It can't be measured objectively because abstracts mean different things to different people. It would be more productive to measure blood pressure.

I think the measure of the person's faith in his or her religion is how long he/she can stay away from it. Resist the pull of your religion/beliefs until you can resist it no more.
That's one measure in my opinion.
