I think they've been given way more than they can handle.

Can someone religious please explain to me the reason for God creating schizophrenic people?

I'm not trying to doubt anyone's religion, I'm just curious.

It is easier to start in the "beginning." Just as light from the sun does not turn around and say, "I am darkness," so man, in truth can't turn around and say to God, "I am truly mortal, subject to sin, disease, and death, and you know it." The point is that if there were any truth to the errors of mortal "life," then Jesus would not have had a mission and we would not need to seek God at all, because then their would be truth in evil and evil would be as powerful as God if not more so. God is incapable of sending sickness or disease. They do not come from Him. If He could send schizophrenia, then I would have to agree with you, but we are lucky in that perfect love casts out fear.

First off, God did not create schizophrenic people.

That is a disease just like any other that is from our imperfection. Sometimes things we do to ourselves can even cause schizophrenia. My ex brother-in-law is now schizophrenic from taking too many drugs. He has been clean for two years, but it will be something that he will have to deal with for the rest of his live. You reap what you sow. I also have a cousin that had ryesyndrome when he was a baby and went into a coma. He now has schizophrena which they say is due to the ryesyndrome. He is dealing with it also. The will both have to take medicine for the rest of their lives.

James 1: 13 says "When under trail, let no one say: I am being tired by God. For evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone."

We all have something to deal with, some seems beyond what we can bear, but there is always someone worse and we are stronger than we think. Especially, if we depend on God for strength. "Throw your burden on Jehovah himself, and he will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter."
Ps 55: 22.

You will have to go back and look into the bible where the Lord Jesus encountered a man with schizophrenia. The man was demon possessed and had a multitude of personalities in him called "legion". God will not put more on us than we can handle, but you have to read that passage further. It says but He will provide a way for you to escape. The problem is that people do not take the escape route God has provided for them and their problems end up over taking them. Schizophrenia is of a demonic nature. When people do not obey God (which is the way out), they leave the door open for these demons to come into their life. Daniel warned Nebudchanezzar not to life his head up in pride. The king did not listen, and in return Nebudchanezzar recieved the mind of an animal. He warned, but he did not listen. So God did not create it, but the choices people make allow it to happen to them.

If you've read the Bible, there is a passage in which Paul talks about having "a thorn in his side". And he asks God several times to take it away. But God tells him that the reason he allows Paul to have this "thorn in his side" is so that he will be humble. I dont believe that Paul's condition was literally having a thorn in his side. I believe it was an expression to illustrate the fact that Paul had something in his life which made life very difficult, either physically or mentally. It could have very well been a mental illness. All I know is that God loves us all, and that everything He allows to happen to us has a purpose. It may be to get your attention and draw you nearer to Him. Consider that when you question God.

I don't think god creates diseases to hurt people. I think its the things we do that create things like that. we've found that incest spreads diseases and creates new physical abnormalities. since incest was common practice in the past- even though it was spoken out against- we have diseases and disorders that were created and are spread.

we also have health issues due to their actions- sometimes karma and sometimes as consequence to bad actions like when you make a toxic material and you get sick from it. we don't know the effects of the hormones we're pumping into animals and into food.
I don't think god says you did this so I made this disease/disorder. I think its the natural order of things. god laid out that in nature things work the way they do for a reason, when you change that natural order unnatural, bad things can occur.

I think god does inspire people to make medicines, I think he did foresee these issue and that why so many natural growing plants can be used to treat sick people. there was even a plant whose leaves once worked as a birth control- its now extinct (bad things happen when we don't repect nature and destory things)
I don't agree with all medical treatments and think some aren't good even if they help- not good on a religious level.

I think the more appropriate question is why, if god only gives you what you can handle, do so many people commit suicide because their lives are too difficult for them to cope with?

There are a multitude of answers that they will give you.... satan's influences make things more difficult.... god tests people... blah blah blah.... It's all B.S. if you ask me. god doesn't give anyone anything because he is non-existant.

They make up this garbage about god giving only what you can handle to justify not helping people in need. They see their daily struggles as "Oh... should i choose paper or plastic?" Or "What quality of gas should i put in my hummer?" Those are the things that god gives them to "handle."

I oftened questioned this, because i'm very close to someone who has schizophrenia and it is hard to deal with.

I was finally able to get help and now she is on medication that helps a lot.

I thank God for the medicine, because without it she was a totally different person.

Sometimes god drinks a bit much - and speaking of drinking a bit much that also explains autism and fetal alcohol syndrome (god drinking although in the latter case the mother drinking contributes too).

There's two Gods to sort out in the allegoric "mystery":
- Higher God in "heaven": "higher than the heavens"
- God on "high" in the (plural and divided) "heavens"

Friend: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee: Grace
Enmity: I will forsake you, the city, your fathers: Law
Christ is our peace who abolished the law(enmity): Eph2

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I often asked the same question. Also, what about people who commit suicide because they can't endure any more pain, either physical or psychological. I don't necessarily believe the corollary of that which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Sometimes, it just leaves you incredibly weak and damaged.
