Did you know that Galileo Galilei disprove the following passage? With SCIENCE

Psalm 93:1, Psalm 96:10, and Chronicles 16:30 state that "the world is firmly established, it cannot be moved." Psalm 104:5 says, "[the LORD] set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved." Ecclesiastes 1:5 states that "the sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises."

Do you know what happened in his time? He was required to take back his heliocentric ideas; the idea that the Sun is stationary was condemned as "formally heretical."

Doesn't this sound a lot like what churches are doing to Evolution today? Yes, indeed it does only with a minor difference....religious people know that they don't have the same power as before to ban true knowledge so they made up a phony 'theory', a so called 'ism' to be played right along side with real facts, evidence, observation, and calculation.

Yes, history tends to repeat itself. Do you agree with me? if you do, please say AMEN!

St. Anthony's in St. Louis, they thought it would be best for her to go into a catholic care facility and sign over all of her worldly possessions, is it ethical for them to try to manipulate a vulnerable mental patient, were they doing God's work. If so, who is the patron saint of stealing an old woman's money?

Evolution proves that Adam and Eve weren't created from dust. After that little lie of 'first I created the plants, and a few days later the Sun', this was a huge one.

I've always had problems trusting liars again, even after they said they were sorry. It's probably a lack in my upbringing, I don't know.

Of course I can forgive God, if he would at least be so honest to tell me why he lied. But after that, how can I ever trust him again?

Human logic and reasoning are flawed and not reliable... as evidenced by most of the comments on this forum from the Atheists

1. That through the atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. The priesthood of Aaron ...holds the keys to baptism by immersion for the remission of sins. The living may be baptized for the dead who died without a knowledge of the "restored" gospel.

2. Only those married for time and eternity in Mormon Temples can receive fulness of glory and continuation of seeds, forever and ever. Then shall they be gods, because they have no end.

3. The heads of the Gods appointed one god for us.....The Father in heaven has a body of flesh and bones, the Son also...God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man.

What are we atheists supposed to do? Just take it? Allow people to pray to an imaginary being using a method that's only an illusion?

Because, you know how Atheists lives are so much more important than believers, it’s just more logical that an Atheists incredibly powerful mind shouldn’t be bogged down with mundane tasks like waiting in line behind slack-jawed yokels who still believe in fairytales.

ok so let me start by saying I am NOT crazy and this is NOT some sort of stalker/obsession thing, but...I need a spell or ritual or some type of anything that will allow me to actually become a specific other person. I know who I want to become, I just dont know how to(literally) become her. What I mean is I literally want to BE her(physically, mentally, like the whole cats cabana). NO it's not some kind of "idolizing" or "worshipping" or "obsession/stalking" , and please if nothing else DONT tell me the " you need help" or "just be happy as who you are...why arent you?"comments/suggestions........ people PLEASE...all I need is a spell or a ritual or an....ANYTHING......that will turn me into her. If you're actually willing to help me with what I need to do(this IS SERIOUS, this NEEDS to happen!!!!!!) and aren't gonna make fun of me PLEASE respond. Otherwise, if you're going to be rude or irrelevant than no thanks. Thanks for listening

I'm an atheist, but I am still pleased when theists go "church shopping." I would much rather have people find a church that agrees with their values than conform their values to that of a church. That way churches will at least have to keep pace with social progress.

People on here seem to have such hatred and contempt of others. I thought chirst said "love one another by this shall men know that ye are my disciples if ye have loved one to another"
John 13:34-35
How can someone profess to be christian who follows Christ if they hate and persecute others?

It just proves the bible isn't literally true. Why does a well known scientific fact freak some people out so much?

I can't see any. Everything they say is the same thing televison newsmagazines and other programs are saying. It babbles about gays in the military; they babble likewise. It drops the subject, they drop the subject. It babbles about Islamofascists, they babble about Islamofascists. Television decides "Islamofascist" isn't PC,they decide Islamofascist isn't PC. They exhibited no interest in abortion until tv started exhibiting interest. TV assumed it's view; they assumed the same view. I always know what the Lord High Television has been saying lately, just by listening to atheists. They seem like little tvs with legs and feet. Do you think they are aware that Television is their brain?

It's today! Are you celebrating today/tonight, or this weekend? Do you celebrate at all? If so, what do you/will you do?

I can't get pregnant and don't want to, but since it's a day of fertility, I usually do a work for a friend who is pregnant or wants to be. Don't have one of those either, so I'm going to do one for fertility in endangered species this weekend and have fun with Pagan friends. :-)

christianity is sooo much more than just saying "jesus is lord" "hallelujah" and "amen." it is a way, like all religions, of trying to come to understandings of soul, truth and purpose. how you live is the point, how you treat people is the point, not just what you say.
christianity requires study, not just of the bible but of people, how to reach them, not just telling them what will happen after "the rapture."
would it not be more effective if you shut up and listen to the world around you, to put yourself beside jesus for a minute or two a day to ask yourself what you think of the comparison?

I attend a non-denominational church right now, but everyone there seems to agree on every issue, and if you challenge something, it’s like you have the plague!

I would like to attend a church where real, yet polite debates are encouraged.

Are there church’s like that?

I am a Christian. I ask all people to be respectful to each other. If any of religion wants to keep or convince others to be with them, I suppose you would want to be nice to others.

Grief...I lost my father Jan 2nd and I'm just wondering does it get better, does it ever stop hurting so bad. Do you ever stop looking for signs from above to let you know they are with you.
Do the tears ever stop and if so when.. I have never hurt like this in my life... some times it just hurts to breath. i have 4 children and I keep telling myself to be strong but I feel so alone. I don't want to die.. I just want to quit living sometimes.. I just don't know what to do.
