In my humble opinion, other than that of the Bible itself - Spiritual Warfare by Richard Ing, also there are several really good books, I think that if you really focus on putting on the armor of God, warfare will come naturally.

Some excellent stories by Frank Peretti include Piercing the Darkness, The Oath, The Visitation, etc.
Frank writes based on stories that actually happened.
