Cho-Seung named himself Ismail's Ax, both on his flesh and on his NBC pack media package. However, despite Cho's best efforts, we still havent heard his justification in anything but censored bites.

What are they censoring? It MUST be something that would have a negative impact of public harmony, otherwise there would be no effort to censor it.

What do we know....we know his play "Mr McBeef" lampooned McDonalds America and proved that he held exclusively Islamic values like using the "bottom of shoes" as a derrogatory comment or disgust for pork, although jews share that one.

The parts of the video we saw were anti-western rants reminsent of islamic terror videos seen on al jazerra.

Let me ask you this...what other reasons for the continued censorship of his video and letter...other than the possiblity of "netherlands like" backlash in America against the Islamic community....

You probably couldn't change the actual stereotype but if there is ONE stereotype you wish you could prove wrong.

Mine would be that Christians are ignorant.

My parents once helped the moonies out big time. Got them a liscence to sell door-to-door and helped them get a camping permit. It was so embarrasing.

I followed the link.. and found the following:

Creationists strongly dispute the fact that there is overwhelming support for evolution in the science community. One of the first attempts to provide evidence that there were substantial number of scientists who disagreed with evolution was a pamphlet produced by the Institute for Creation Research in 1971 entitled "21 Scientists Who Believe in Creation"[45] This pamphlet has been reprinted several times. Skeptics have claimed that this list of 21 creation supporters is misleading since it includes 3 people with PhD's in education, 2 in theology, 5 in engineering, 1 in physics, 1 in chemistry, 1 in hydrology, 1 in entomology, 1 in psycholinguistics 1 in food science technology, 2 in biochemistry, 1 in ecology, 1 in physiology and 1 in geophysics, and therefore most of their backgrounds might not give them much authority in evolutionary biology.[46][47]

Really sounds like people well versed in the requirements of Evolution

If LDS church members are offended by the term "Mormon", then my question is "why?"
Why not embrace the name "Mormon" wholeheartedly and with pride?

There are many similarities between the story of the Egyptian God Horus and the story of Jesus the Christ. However the story of Horus existed long before the story of Jesus. Is it possible the authors of the Jesus story copied in part or all of the story of Horus?

I went to church with a friend of mine because she wanted me to go and I had nothing else to do. This priest was trying to tell everyone that evolution was a fairy tale. He claimed that dinosaurs and humans roamed the Earth together. Carbon dating clearly shows that humans and dinosaurs did not roam the Earth together and I raised my hand and told him this. He claimed that carbon dating is something scientists made up because he says that "scientists are conspiring to destroy Christianity." I don't think there are words in the English language to describe this kind of stupidity.

They are super-liberal and make stuff up to fit their personal ludicrous beliefs (ie changing the gender of a god, believing in fairies and other non-sense).

Also they IGNORE historical facts and evidence and have the nerve to call recons like me "elitists" for PROVING their beliefs wrong.

Somehow on forums I manage to get banned for it. Even if I don't swear and sound composed and educated. Something just can't through their thick heads and frankly, I'm sick of it!

I give my money to America's Second Harvest, the Juvenile Diabetes Fund, the World Wildlife Fund, the Fresh Air Fund, and the American Civil Liberties Union.

Second Harvest helps the hungry without religion, JDF is because my kid brother is diabetic, the WWF is because I respect nature (which I think ties in with my being Pagan), the Fresh Air Fund is to help kids who may not otherwise be exposed to nature get the opportunity, and the ACLU because it supports First Amendment freedoms.

How about you? (Links are good.)

even within faith so many christians and those of faith say that "they know." yet christian to christian the tolerances and beliefs are so very different. as people of faith there are things that can definitley be agreed upon. there are things which are critical to faith and belief, but in the minutae the message gets lost through discrepancies which could be great for conversation and debate were they not made cardinal truth by those that profess them.
scripture of all kinds are to be comprehended, why make concrete argument out of the beautiful malleabilty of a collection of poetic truths?
but so many of us allow ego to get in the way when we state that somehow we know, not just the truth, but the "Real truth," the truth those "other christians" don't know.
