A TV has a button which turns it off.
Atheists do not.

Then how come I don't make 100,000 dollars every time I give an opinion?
Seriously, though. I don't watch the tv newsmagazines. I've had my own opinions on abortion, gays, Muslims, terrorism, foreign and domestic policies, and many other things for a very long time. TV and the popularity of any given topic have nothing to do with my opinions. If anyone is influenced by the tv, it seems to me to be the people who listen to and watch Fox News, Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Pat Robertson, TBN, and the like.
Generalizations hurt everyone - the ones being generalized, and the ones generalizing.
Perhaps you need to meet new people.

Wow. That's exactly the type of position that does anything BUT invite atheists to become Christians. I understand it can be frustrating at times to hear some of the stuff that is broadcast on TV but maybe try looking at things from someone Else's perspective. God looks down and sees people He created and Loves. He does not want us bashing one another in this way. It only creates more discord.
There are people in every sect of every religion or society in the world who are wonderful, spiritual, giving people. Some are Buddhist, some are Christian, some are Jewish, some are Muslim, some are Agnostic or Atheistic. Of course, I want everyone to become Christians and experience God in a personal way but I try to live by example. Labels and name-calling do nothing but put up blocks to good communication. Sometime take another look at what you just wrote and ask yourself if you would want to become one. Journaling is a great way to relieve your frustration and express your feelings without hurting other people.

And Christians talk about what's going on in the world just as often as Atheists. It's about current events, not religion.

I wish you had more in common with a television, so I could find your mute and off buttons.

I prostrate myself before your superior intellect. Thank you for taking time away from your Mensa meeting to enlighten me about myself. XOXOXO
Your television analogy was impressive for all to witness.

A lot of what I say no one else says.
Also, I don't care about abortion. Not all atheists talk about it.
