I'm an atheist, but I am still pleased when theists go "church shopping." I would much rather have people find a church that agrees with their values than conform their values to that of a church. That way churches will at least have to keep pace with social progress.

It is refreshing, but on the down side, apparently all the options available for choice these days creates an air of mass confusion and indecisiveness within the population. So there is something in being told what to worship and how to worship it.

Actually, I prefer it when people go "religion shopping." I think people should make an informed decision on everything they buy into, from a new car to cable tv to religious beliefs. People in America don't choose a mate based on who their parents liked as kids, so why should they commit to a life controlling belief such as a religion based on what their parents believed?

Christians, I don't knock you for being christian, I knock you for believing that everyone else should be too. One faith does not fit all, and yours is just as man made as the rest of them.

No. I don't feel anything when people go looking for a group that agrees with their interpretation of what their books say.

Yes, and there's also 'salad bar religion' where you pick and choose the dogma or beliefs which you find to be morally acceptable and reject the ones you don't.
