Why do you think so....have you seen any signs?

Today while at the grocery store I was putting my bags in the car. Nearby, an elderly man was sitting in his car playing Hank Williams and the volume turned up. After loading, I pushed the cart to the lot cart rack. Upon return to my car, I saw a woman and her young girl. About then Hank hit one of those long nasal twangs. The woman and young girl began to laugh and imitate the sound. I thought to myself, yes some music was funny when I was younger. Then rap and hip-hop came to mind. I do not even consider rap music. I do not laugh at rap or imitate it. Rap is disgusting to me.

To each his own do you think?

What? Now I'm practically quoting Jesus.

John 9:41 Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

Do Christians believe JESUS is the GOD of the Old Testament?

The Trinity contends that all three parts of God are one without any separation between them otherwise it would be proven to be polytheism.

Therefore, according to Christianity the God of the Old Testament is Jesus.

If you say yes, then you cannot ever deny that he sent the commandments written in the Old Testament.

Someone can say they don’t follow them anymore…ok…. But if they ever deny that he made these commands then JESUS was not the GOD of the Old Testament.

Here is one command JESUS sent down:

“A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.” ----- Deuteronomy 22:5

If a Christian denies it was ever sent down by Jesus then either Jesus is not their God or they don’t believe that the Bible is the word of God.

Whether these are still enforced or whether these were sent millenniums ago…… are not the question.

The eye opener is that Christians cannot deny that according to their faith JESUS at one time sent this COMMAND down for WOMEN.

I understand that there are many different branches of Christianity and that there may not be a simple answer to this question. My friend is a self-admitted sinner; lying, adultery, drug use, etc., not things that I necessarily find morally wrong but things that I always thought would be looked down upon by such a religious person. He tells me that despite his immoral actions, he is convinced that he will be saved by the fact that he "accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior", and that this fact and this fact alone will grant him eternal salvation. Is that all that makes a Christian a good person- accepting Jesus so they can get into heaven?

There may consequences imposed on me by society but still I'm not obligated to society. I'm responsible to myself only. Society can tell me I'm obligated but society cannot force me to comply. Society can only constrain me not control me. Therefore true power and control remains in myself.

We are not (God) the One...yet we are Of (God) the One.

Just as streams of Light emitting out from the One Pure Light Source...we are Of that Pure Light Source...yet are not the Light Source itself.

All are one...souls living a human experience...(God) the One is us...we are of the One.

If a person had more awareness to that wouldn't a person take more precious care of their own selfs and those of others ?

I'm of no organized religion, faith, temple etc. yet respecting of all.....I'm simply Spiritual.

So many seem to be doing their ' good deeds ' now and then waiting to see what happens when they ' die '. What of the thought to live in awakeness in the state of Now?

If more or all were awakened to the awareness of (God) the One being within, abound and around us...All is and are One. With that awarenss...how would the Light of the soul shine then and each relate with one another...to our own selfs ?

Lately I have heard devout Christians saying that carbon dating is flawed in that the great flood somehow negates the scientific legitimacy of the process. Could someone please explain this argument to me?

"To know nothing is to feel nothing. To feel nothing is to have no pain."

"Wouldn't it be pefectly logical to leave a world of suffering for a world of nothingness."

"I'd rather feel nothing at all than feel pain anyday."

After reading Tuberoot's question, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuALCemZ2WW_nP7_7zaxtnDd7BR.?qid=20070429110343AAf6gEY , I became quite sour and upset.

Should we use this insensitive Christian as an example of how your entire faith is?

I have worked very hard at keeping a good opinion of Christians, even the ones whom tell me and others we are going to Hell and are children of Satan.

But to use the word "Autistic" in such a context... that's just unacceptable by any standards.

Do Christians encourage this type of behavior? Saying another group has a psychological disorder because they have different views from their own?

Explain yourselves!

I have a question about pre-marital sex. I just don't see why its a sin. I mean say me and a significant other felt we we're ready to have sex and we were disease free. Why would it be wrong to do that, and if i used protection and was responsible for any consiquences than how would it lead to any harm. I can see that many other sins lead to self destruction, and financial destruction. Which would be drugs and gambling. But if me and someone want to have sex, then im suppose to say no. Why should i, i wont be rewarded for doing it, i probably won't feel any better then the guy that does do it. Its not like im going to have sex with the person and the next day be cruel to them, or if i get them pregnant i'll take care of the baby and get married if thats what I have to do. I just don't see whats so evil about it. And besides there won't be any sex or romance in heaven so why can't I enjoy it on earth. I mean heaven is eternity.

As a person from the outside...not going to church or believing in the bible, I don't see much difference in Mormon's and Jahovah Witness from Baptists and Luthrens and Nazarines etc. They all seem to have basically the same belief. Mormans seem more active in helping the poor...JW's seem more active recruiters and Baptists and the others are neither...just loud and acusatory of others.
