If you look at my questions, I am quite an Atheist. But I keep flip flopping back and forth from Christian to Atheist. One day, believe in God and I believe Jesus died for me, then another day, I don't believe in God at all and I don't believe Jesus even existed at all. I am so confused to what is the truth and what isn't. My life has been dedicated to finding some answers to questions like, "how did we get here to begin with?" and "why can't evolution clearly explain how our common ancestor we share with apes got here?" I'm so confused.

When I go to Mass several times a week I hear the priest give the Liturgy of the Word from different books in the bible. But from some of the answers I see here posted by Protestants regarding Catholics and the Church established by Christ Himself, it seems the only thing their preachers preach is hate and false information regarding the Catholic Church. Iam just curious.

Right, first of all i'm not religious at all. I came across this little paradigm when researching a paper and wondered if anyone had anything sensible to say about it. According to te origional hebrew bible (from which modern bibles were translated and altered) Exodus 20:7 "You shall not take the name of YHWH your God in vain"
The name of god (Jehovah) is a translation of this from the Hebrew name of God YHWH, but it is a mistranslation it should be translated Yahweh, so, simply by saying Jahovah aren't we commiting blaspemy? And as for those Jehovahs witnesses... well well well.
So my question is have I got this right, and what can they say to get out of this?

As i say i heard about this whist researching someting else, but alot can be found about it on this site if youre interested:

I have done all that I can. I have accepted Jesus as my Master in my heart, I have taken my medication for my nervous disability, I have said my prayers, I have philsophized as deep as possible within my soul, I have loved and I have asked forgiveness. But still seep down inside there is a big deep emptiness and fear that just wont go away. I'm doomed I think. And in truth I am almost giving up all hope. I keep trying to hang on but its as if Jesus and evryone just is not listening. I give up.

If I beieved it exists, I'd have to say its some sort of scientist and if so, the entire Universe is its experiment. Either we're here for it to study or just to amuse it. What do you think?

Hello! I have been having problems with my stomach and intestine problems. I have been out of work for more than 4 weeks now, and I'm only 19 years old. I have went to hospital several times with no results. I've also had rectum camera view. I've been constipated now like almost completely. The doctors won't do really anything. It seems like something that I swallow is blocking me. Please pray for me! Bye in Yahsuah Jesus name

If you weren't told about God as a child, no-one in this day and age (when science can answer the questions that religion used to answer) would even consider the idea of their being a god.

Argue against that my Christian friends!

after the saved are raptured to heaven and the lost are destroyed etc. etc. etc. and jesus takes his 1000 year reign over earth, WHO IS HERE?

if the lost died and the saved are in heaven, who's here? I don't understand revelation quit clearly and a bunch of "what if's" come up.

Jesus said, "if you love me you'll keep my commandments". If you love me , "Feed my sheep" We are to be under his authority.
When we want to do something that is outside of his perfect will, and we rationalize and do what our nature tells us and we omit to do what we should. We need to ask our selves. Do we love God.

It took me 30 years to realize that I hadn't.love God. I loved things about him. But to love him with all my heart , soul and mind as he said is to walk in him 24/7

Where do you stand? I'm going to love God!

Throughout his life, he spoke of the value of righteousness, and of seeking and offering thanks for the "blessings of Heaven."
He was an early supporter of religious toleration and freedom of religion.

He wrote:
"If they be good workmen, they may be from Asia, Africa, or Europe; they may be Mohammedans, Jews, or Christians of any sect, or they may be Atheists."

This person knew virtue, something all of us should reflect on.
He was pious, just, humane, temperate, and sincere; uniform, dignified, and commanding.

for a few years i was a big christian freak, one of them bible carriers, hand wavin, square type of guys. after the few years, i slowly started to change into someone else and now im the complete opposite and do pretty damned things in "gods" eyes, mainly bcuz i dont believe in christ anymore (but i do believe theres a god) any way, someone told me, if i was once truly saved and got blind sided and strayed to the broad path, that if i was to die i'd still go to heaven just not be having as much jewels or a great mansion....is this true?

i know theres so many types of christians and some say definitely and some say its nonsence. so if u got a verse to back u up, that'd be great

I really get annoyed when my friends and I discuss religion, they are Baptist and I am Catholic, they always say-well Christians believe ect.... and I try to explain to them -No Baptist believe-

Clue people to be Christian is to believe in Jesus Christ-Catholics do that thus making us Christian as well.

How is pole dancing exploitative when the girls can earn in excess of £175,000 a year manipulating guys + keeping fit.

So much more fun doing it then brain dead boring repetitive work for peanuts kissing bosses ***.

Say in a call centre where every second you are monitored.

or stewarding or stacking shelves or even poor paid bar work typical of young people.

Why be in debt and having to pay for the gym when you can exercise all day, afford to eat healthy.

And lots of toys, clothes, cars etc.

live a good life with lots of holidays etc.

if not hurting not immoral

If doing what want not dising self

A friend of mine dreamed that he was walking on the beach with Jesus and Jesus told him that the Bible had good teachings in it but also contained a lot of errors. My friend asked what the errors were and turned to look at Jesus. But Jesus wasn't there anymore.

I told my friend to forget about it because it was just some random thing, but he's wondering if maybe God is trying to tell him something.

Okay, first of all people, we do live in life, we do live on a planet inside of a universe. So who created the universe??? It doesn’t matter if we know his name or intentions or even what it is, all that matters is we know something did it? And when I say something, I don’t mean something physical, something we can study, I mean language and common sense is pointing at “something” that had to have done it. I mean, any fool knows that nothing comes from nothing, so either this life and everything in it is nothing, which isn’t reasonable at all, or the only thing left, is that something did it. Even if you say that that “thing” is a substance different than something and different than nothing, then you are still pointing at it, so from our perspectives, it is something.

So my question is, isn't that enough to make it a scientific inquirery?
