They have to get down on their knees and wiggle thru that gate.

Hey! Maybe THATs what Haggard was doing?

Hi,
No it's not. The needle eye Jesus talked about was the door right next to the main gate of most old city walls. This door was used by travelers after the main gate was closed for the night. The problem was most travelers had fully loaded camels and whatever was packed on that camel had to be off-loaded prior to entering in through the "needle eye" door. This required work on the part of the person that owned the camel. The riches described by Jesus represented the work it would take for that person to enter into that door. Most "rich people would not take the time or effort to do that work, and he knew that, and that's why he use that analogy. Entering heaven requires hard work. Even though Jesus paid the price and salvation is free, it still takes work to be a disciple of Jesus. It requires discipline, and everyone here knows just how hard that can be at times. I hope I helped!

The Camel and the Eye of the Needle
(Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25)
"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." (Matthew 19:24)

The eye of the needle "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle. Than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven"

One of the gates in the Jerusalem wall was the "eye of the needle"--camel drivers had to train their camels to get down on their knees and wiggle through the gate. This required the drivers to strip down the camels coax them through the gate and reload the camel. That experience could be what Jesus was referring to or a literal translation might be exactly what he is talking about. Either way "The love of money is the root of evil"

That scripture doesn't actually talk about the eye of a needle as some would think.

The small gates in Jerusalem where the camels would go through were low and the camels would have to get down on theri knees and crawl through.

It was difficult, an eye of the needle or a sallport as they are known today were a security measure. In order to get a camel thorugh you had to completly unload it, get it down on all four knees, and have somebody both behind and in front of it pushing and pulling. So, when Jesus makes reference to that he is not talking about an imposibility, but making reference to a very difficult situation in which people at the time knew. But of course people today know that too since they study the Bible and don't take it at face value but take it for the oh wait....nevermind.

A camel wouldn't fit through the eye of a needle. Small opening, big thing entering.

“Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

what makes you think of that funds is what's maximum intense? it incredibly is THAT thought that's what's maintaining you from heaven. helping human beings (no longer basically donating to the charity of the month to assert you have completed some good) and practising an equitable existence for ALL could be your extensive kind one purpose. Jesus mentioned that the final of all commandments became to love God, and the 2d became to love your neighbor as your self. by using hoarding funds, you're maintaining it from people who like it, and maintaining the undesirable undesirable. some human beings basically can no longer make sound corporation judgements as you are going to be able to desire to get your funds, and it incredibly is those people who want the main help. "you are able to no longer take it with you" may well be a reliable word to contemplate on. what good are riches in heaven? why might you preserve that plenty funds from somewhat everyone else? what precisely are you SAVING it for? this is not there interior the afterlife, and whether it became, it would be meaningless. this is not any longer impossible to get into heaven once you're wealthy. it incredibly is in basic terms much less demanding to get a camel via a needle's eye. that does no longer recommend you will no longer enter heaven as long as you're wealthy, regardless of the undeniable fact that. it incredibly is as much as God to return to a variety that.

There is a gate in Jerusalem called "the Eye of the Needle" To get through this gate, a camel must crawl on its knees. So it's not saying it is impossible for a rich man to enter heaven. It's saying he must get on his knees and crawl - ie be humble.

007.040 To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin. (QURAN)
