Christians, should we all use Tuberoot as an example of people of your faith?

After reading Tuberoot's question, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuALCemZ2WW_nP7_7zaxtnDd7BR.?qid=20070429110343AAf6gEY , I became quite sour and upset.

Should we use this insensitive Christian as an example of how your entire faith is?

I have worked very hard at keeping a good opinion of Christians, even the ones whom tell me and others we are going to Hell and are children of Satan.

But to use the word "Autistic" in such a context... that's just unacceptable by any standards.

Do Christians encourage this type of behavior? Saying another group has a psychological disorder because they have different views from their own?

Loki you have let personal feeling get in the way of Logic. The intent was metaphorical, the questioner said that in his explanation. It touched--not your logic--but your heart--for you know the problems and frustrations attached to and with autism. The feeling of absolute frustration and the inability to deal with a mind on its own track. My daughter is an autism specialist for ages new born to age 2. Her field is speech pathology. She has related the frustration of parenting an autistic child. When you seek to communicate and you can't just say "I love you" and be guaranteed it will be understood. People can be cruel because they have not experienced those problems. I would say to you--listen with your senses not your logic to the little one. Logic to them is not the same as with a normal child but watch their face when they realize truth and things make since. Then you can know the simple joys of a complex life. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. That, to me. is the best thing I can do.

No you shouldn't take him as an example. Jesus tells us not to give offense to anyone. However, we are human, and we all make mistakes. My question to you though, why do you think it is okay for the unbelieving world to call me stupid because I believe what the Bible teaches.
Some get a little zealous, they go out to do the right thing but end up doing it the wrong way. And if you are an unbeliever then you will be going to Hell unless you change your ways. Would you be offended if I told you that swallowing a live grenade was going to kill you even if you thought you knew better.
I know that you will say there is a difference, but no there isn't. I hope this didn't come off sounding mean or hateful, was not my intent. But I will pray for you salvation.

Of course Tuberoot was wrong to use such an insensitive (and frankly quite shallow) analogy to express his views. That does not give you the right though to publicly humiliate him. Nor does it give you an excuse to start bashing Christians - no one needs to explain Tuberoot's opinions except Tuberoot.
So if you're appalled at Tuberoot's actions then please talk to Tuberoot and only Tuberoot about it and stop using it as an excuse to stereotype and try and make all Christians feel bad.

Here's my two cents.

To condemn all Christians for one question asked by one Christian would be like condemning all people with blue eyes because one person with blue eyes committed murder - silly.

Christian or not (I'm not so sure 'it' is), idiots like tuberoot are just sad lonely people with nothing better to do than stir up emotion.

The best way to deal with them is just ignore them - they'll soon get bored when they get no reaction.

It was a weird, insensitive question. What else is there to say? Frankly I don't find it as offensive as being called homophobic, delusional, bigots, who need a sky daddy. But to each their own.

WHY NOT EXPLAIN JESUS-he is the savior not those that claim or really do know him.
the dead sea scrolls proved the inerancy of Jesus and the bible-before that time the prophecies of Jesus in Isaiah had been discredited as being written by 2 or 3 different people, but it was found intact as one book by one Isaiah.

they who honor God recommend you to have a genuine testimony of salvation in Jesus amazing grace to make it last. Otherwise you are marrying a person while you worship someone other than God.
