Are you ready for heaven?
REV 19V6And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Because in heaven all beings are sexless. Traditionally, angels are without genetalia. This means that romantic love would essentially be between people of the 'same sex' which is strictly forbidden. Also because it doesn't make any sense, has little necessity.
From a religious point of veiw, romantic love on earth is here to bind people together and to create loving conditions to raise a family. In heaven, there is no need to create children, indeed one would assume it is an impossibility. Therefore romantic love has no place in heaven.
One would also assume that God fills one with love so completely in a platonic sense, one would not even consider romantic love to be a valid emotion.
However, I am agnostic, so don't necessarily believe in heaven.

I would say no to the first question. Romantic love is, by defintion, selfish and self-centered...it is largely about how the other person makes you feel. I simply can't imagine such a limited form of love having any place in God's home. I do think we will have "human contact"...and that we will see and recognize people that we knew on earth...but I think we'll perceive them and our relationship with them (and everyone else) quite differently than we do now. As for our memories, I think we will also perceive them differently...perhaps a little like the way we perceive certain memories now...for example, the ability of a woman who can't imagining ever going through labor again while it is happening whose love for her first child allows her to "forget" that pain enough to want a second child! The bible does say that there will be no more tears in heaven...and I can't imagine not crying over some of my memories...thus, I assume that the way I will perceive any memories I have in heaven must change in some fundamental way I can't possibly understand while I'm still living here!!

To begin with, it appears that the only person to go to Heaven and then return really didn`t have an awful lot to say about the place. He spoke more about this Earth then about Heaven. If you`re taking your question from your reading of the Bible, then be a little wary. The bible ( New testament ) wasn`t written until about two centuries after the birth of Christ !. Bible scholars can`t even agree on who did or didn`t write the four main books of the bible !. So...any information about Heaven that you glean from the Bible should be taken with a fairly large grain of salt !.

Hi veritas. We are only to have sex in marriage and there will be no marriage in Heaven. God tells us very clearly we are not to have sex outside of marriage in Hebrews 13:4:
"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge."
God teaches us there will be no marriage in Heaven in Matthew 22:30:
"For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven."
In Heaven, those who are saved will be brothers and sisters in God and no more souls will be created.

Because spirit creatures are not male or female. They do not procreate or give birth to little spirit creatures.
