...And the next question is: If they haven't been exposed to Jesus, did the Holy Spriit screw up delivering the message... did god neglect them? (...or is the whole "Jesus loves everyone" business just a great lie.)

God is way more intelligent than I, and He's the one who put them there.

Every primitive civilization has had their ideas on how they came about, and for the most part, they are agreeable. Some practices, however, were not (for instance, human sacrifice and cannibalism)

I would assume that God, being intelligent and being the One who brought them there, would also be the One to care for them.

I am reminded of a story of a certain missionary (Mennonite) who told the story of the redemption to a man who had lived in the jungle all his life (had never seen a white man). After hearing all the missionary had to say, the old man nodded and said: "I know this Jesus of whom you speak."

He had recognized Him without ever having heard of Him.

I think a comparable question would be: if you were the only person on Earth, would God come and visit you and be your friend?

Hi,
God never said they'd burn in hell. That's just religious dogma spread by the traditions of men. You may actually want to read that "Good Book" you are so sarcastically criticizing. You might like what you read. Haven't you heard there will be a Resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous! Sounds like all those who never heard of Jesus will get their chance at that time.

Sorry, but the Bible is a good source, especially when speaking of soteriology issues. the bible says several things which give us a clue as to what happens to some people who are not exposed to the christian Gospel. first of all the Scriptures tell us that His creation is evidence enough that God exists and because of this there is no excuse not to believe. Second of all, the Scriptures teach in both the OT and the NT that the law is written on everyone's heart which is an innate knowledge of God. Third, we learn from Scriptures that it is the Holy spirit that draws us to faith by convicting us of the law which we all possess. It is that conviction and the subsequent surrender that places us in obedience to God and thus in His will. We are then by our desire for Him baptized by desire. God bless.

All true Christians must use the 'good book' to answer, for that is their 'sword of the truth'.

Matthew 24:14 states: And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in ALL the inhabited earth for a WITNESS to ALL the nations; and then the end will come.

Now you understand how important missionary work is to all the poor ignorant heathen souls that are saved when selfless Christians seek to reach out to the deprived peoples of the world and teach about Gods love and grace. What could be a more rewarding experience.

There have been.

Natives in Indonesia found Jesus without missionaries or preachers. This was in the 1970's, by the way.

When some missionaries came to the village, one native showed them pictures he drew of Jesus walking on water, and healing the sick and also the way to salvation.

There was no bible back in the days of Adam or Noah.

Our "good book" is logical.
Try reading it.
Anyway our good book is our guide and it does address this question.
The bible says that those who have not heard know instinctively right from wrong (basically). This is their "law". So God will judge them by that.
