(Matthew 2:20) Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

(Matthew 2:21) And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

I am a Christian and do not go around preaching or pushing my opinions on others, but I know others do get "in your face" sometimes and this seems to annoy people and they don't understand why Christians do this.

Hear is something I have told friends before. Suppose you are a scientist and you discovered a cure for everything...literally everything (remember this is hypothetically speaking) in one pill. No one believes you, they tell you that you are crazy. You are positive that you are right. Now how far would you go to convince people about this cure? What would you do to save all those lives? Would you feel responsible to make others listen?

I believe this is how a lot of Christians feel, and they are willing to get on a street corner etc to tell others about their "cure". Is that so wrong?

So how far would you go?

Do you believe that God loves you ? Try not to look at "God loves you" as a clichee , but just as a simple statement..

Do you believe it only at the level of your mind,or has it reached yet to the heart?

You have a once in a lifetime opportunity, that is to sit face to face and converse about the topic of your choosing with any one person for 30 minutes.. Rather you know them or not, famous or not, friend or foe, dead or living..

Who would you choose and what would you want to discuss with them?

< What does the Morman church require large amts of money? (recent post)
I was wondering why you are required to spend part of your income on Morman church >
Mormons are a sectarian fellowship. My answer was referring to such on previous post!
Money in a Christian fellowship is often misunderstood or ignored. The basic truth that God wants to teach us regarding our money is that all of it ' belongs ' to Him. Many Christians still believe that God gets 10% & we get the rest. God can use his part & we can use our part the way we wish, not true! God will not merely judge us on basis on what we gave, but what we do with what we kept! This too belongs to him! God is not so concerned with how much we have, lots or a litle, he evaluates our attitude about it! To emphasize, Paul says that, if our hearts are right, we are acceptable to God even when we cannot give anything "If you are really eager to give, then it isn't important how much you have to give. God wants you to give....

Islam says Jesus was sent as the Messiah for the Jews (redeemer and unifier of the tribes).

Before Jesus, the Jews were killing Prophets in large numbers by accusing them of being Imposters. God warned them that a curse would be put on them if they continued with such rebellion. God decided to send one last chance Prophet to them with revelation and God would strengthen him with the Angel of Revelation (Holy Spirit). If the Israelites believed in Jesus then he would lead them to forgiveness, unity and clarification of some of the laws that had been changed by the Pharisees. Jesus was to be their Messiah, sent as a redeemer and a unifier of the tribes.

God sent Jesus as a miracle birth through the Virgin Mary as a solid proof that he was a True Israelite Prophet and not an imposter. God had sent him as a Warner and bringer of glad tidings that a final Prophet with a final law would come after him from the seed of Jesse (Ishmaelites).

Even then, the Jews rejected Jesus.

They are still awaiting their Messiah whom Islam calls the "False Messiah" (Antichrist).

From the Miraculous birth of Jesus we can see that God can do all things..........

He created Eve with a Man but with no Woman

He created Jesus with a Woman but with no Man

He created Adam without a Man or a Woman.

God is ONE and he is everlasting, all powerful. He begets not nor was he begotten and there is none like unto him.

Are you a complete idiot or just a partial idiot?

How did we get here if Christianity isn't true?

Did we just form from nothing?

Life cannot form without a creator. It's impossible. The idea that we just came into being is laughable. Also, don't mention the "theory" of evolution. That has never been proven.

Atheists like to ask that if God exists, who created God?

The answer is no one. God has always existed. To not believe in God is to be selfish and arrogant.

Don't you agree?

Is God three separate entities ?

God the father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

All three were in separate forms at the same time – Jesus, the Dove and the Lord whom Jesus was speaking to.

If so, then this concept is clearly a Trinity and a Trinity cannot ever be called monotheism. Unless you can call the number 3 a number 1.

‘Christ according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten--just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded form the Father and Son, but was an equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say before he existed, but he is of the same age as the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity.’

- Col. Robert G. Ingersoll

One god sends another down to earth. The god on earth prays to the god in heaven. The god in heaven is pleased with the god on earth. The god on earth says that the god in heaven is greater than he (the god on earth). The god on earth says he will later send a third god down to earth. The god in heaven forsakes the god on earth. The god on earth dies and goes to the god in heaven and sits by his side. That is polytheism for sure, one hundred percent. You can call it whatever you want, but it’s polytheism pure & simple.

God is not the author of confusion (I Cor. 14:33)

Why the PRETENSE? Every time I read a posting there IS one that is a JW and PRETENDS to be Christian!

JW'S.... Do NOT Believe that JESUS IS GOD.... As the Scriptures SAY HE IS!

Colossians 1:13-to-19 Image of the INVISIBLE GOD!

John 2:19-to-22 Raising His Own BODY

Exodus 3:14 AND John 8:58-59 The I AM!

Hebrews 1:3-to-6 AND Matthew 4:10 WORSHIP ONLY GOD

And I could go On and ON!

And YET, there PRETENDERS.... Claim to Be Christain, when Pastor Russel and Judge Rutherfore started the JW'S!

Don't they Even KNOW THEIR OWN HISTORY?

Why do they PRETEND to be Christian.... when They ARE NOT?

Thanks, RR

This is my fourth time sharing this subject here in Yahoo answers.

I am a medical student here in New York and also a Ex Muslim from Abu Dhabi (UAE citizen). Recently in a very unexpected situation i met Jesus Christ and accepted him as my Lord . During my several visits to a Pentecostal church , am personally experienced the power of holy spirit and talking in tongues. In my heart i prayed to God, if this is true and real, filled with me. The pastor layed his hand on me and prayed for me. All of a sudden I experienced the power of holy spirit, came upon me and started talk in other tongue.
My friend told me about holy spirit from the bible that this is what Jesus Christ promised before he raised to heaven , about a “COMFORTER” to send to this world to lead the believers in the right path.
Now i am much scare to inform about my new faith to my parents in my country. They may stop all support or try to take me back to there. Please pray for me.
