(Matthew 2:19) But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

(Matthew 2:20) Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

Jesus age was about 2 years old when they departed from Egypt.
King Herod died in 4 B.C. and before he died he had all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts killed from two years and under(Matt 2:16).

we know Herod had all the boys 2 and under killed when the magi from the east did not return with the specific whereabouts of Yhshua, so one could conclude that he was at least 2 when they returned from Egypt
