When Jesus died, He died as "the last Adam". That is, in God's reckoning, He was the final representative of the entire Adamic race, and took full responsibility for the corporate guit of the race. This is why He referred to Himself so often as "the Son of Man" (or "Ben Adam = Son of Adam)
Also, being divine, he offered Himself through the eternal Spirit. God is not subject to time, but all time is contained in Him and He transcends time, as He transcends all created things.

"How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!"
(Hebrews 9:14)

"because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy."
(Hebrews 10:14)

How did all men who were not born Sin in Adam?
How did Moses who was not born pay tithes in Abraham?

Ephesians 1 teaches that God has already marked out who will accept Him. The Power of God includes His perfect understanding and separation from 'Time'. He is Eternal. Time does not limit Him.

This explains why all the predictions in the Bible made in the Old Testament were so easily recognized in the New Testament as having taken place with complete and stunning accuracy.

On some yet to be understood genetic level all men were present in Adam. Moses was present in Abraham. We were present in those alive during Jesus' day.

That is the thing about the Bible, you cannot put God into a box that men can understand. He is beyond comprehension.

That's an excellent question.

A comprehensive answer could fill volumes, but here's my understanding in very brief terms. Jesus took upon himself the sins of the world in that he experienced the full depth of human misery. This qualified him to be the perfect judge since he could fully understand the point of view of both the sinner and the sufferer (or criminal and victim).

By our faith in his Atonement, regardless of when we lived, we can be free from the effects of sin (e.g., guilt and anger) by giving up all judgment to him. We can be confident that he will exact the necessary justice and for our part we must repent, change our lives, and forgive others.

This gift and opportunity was taught and made available from Adam to our day.

if you look into any of the ancient cultures, there you will find what is known as a blood covenant,
this is the basis of the Old Testament, and testament means covenant, where man could kill a bull or lamb, and the blood of that animal would cover or atone for their sins, for a year.
Jesus came as the perfect sacrifice, described as a lamb with out spot or blemish, meaning without sin, the only man to to live a perfect life, He never sinned, and his blood was accepted by God and the perfect sacrifice, to cover the sins of all humanity.
so He used His blood to make a blood covenant with God, and God accepted that covenant.

God is beyond time-the bible says Jesus crucified before the foundation of the world

on earth he said other sheep i have that are not of this fold

Isaiah 52:13-53:12 explains He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins, He will see his seed and prosper

its is a spiritual seed and in Psalm 22 says his seed will be counted for one generation-in other words all that believe are his seed and will live forever =one generation-past present and future believers
THE COMFORTER IS THE HOLY SPIRIT AND EXPLAINED WITHIN THIS ANSWER-MOHAMED NEVER WAS THE HOLY SPIRIT
many muslims do reject Jesus from their heart- I DID CHOSEN TO REJECT THE TRUTH-SO ONE DAY UNLESS YOU CHANGE LIKE I DID YOU WILL BE IN HELL GNASHING TEETH WEEPING FOREVER as Jesus explains in Revelation 1:1 3:19&20 and chapters 19-22 along with saying if you add to my words you will have plagues-maybe even Shiites blowing up Sunnis mosques since 2006 the golden mosque and dragging each others leaders out into the street and murdering them, along with those who reject Jesus words to love your enemies-let alone kill the infadels by muslim terrorists.

muslims SAY they BELIEVE JESUS but dont-they say that the HOLY SPIRIT who is the promised comforter John chapters 12&14 -is not the Holy Spirit that we recieve when we pray and let Jesus into our heart to forgive our sins repenting and be born again with Jesus now our best friend John chapter 3 & 10 also.

Jesus is my savior Messiah as Isaiah promised and best friend

Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child is born a Son is given, and he will be almighty God and the prince of peace."\

I have Jesus in my heart-prayin for you too and yes Jesus died for those not born yet too-that all may believe and recieve salvation when they let him into their heart.

Dear tronbat,

First, you must understand that Christ did not pay the sin penalty for everyone in the world, including those to come. He paid the sin debt for a group of people referred to in the Bible as, His "elect" (Ephesians 1:3-5; Romans 8:33; 9:11; Mark 13:20).

God, because He is absolutely righteous, just, and Holy cannot allow sinners to come into heaven. The Bible tells us that ALL people have rebelled against God's law and have sinned. The penalty for sin is to spend eternity under the wrath of God (lake of fire). Therefore, the ONLY way the Lord could allow these "elect" or chosen ones to come into heaven was to pay the sin debt Himself. Jesus never ceased to be God Almighty when He came to earth as a little baby, born of a virgin. He, at the age of 38.5 years old, paid the sin debt for all those whom He had chosen to save befroee the foundation of the world. That includes all those "elect" who would be born after Christ had died, risen, and gone back to heaven.

"For many are called, but few are chosen."

**Can I suggest that you read Romans 9?

Jesus' victory over the grave on the cross ensures that all mortals have a door to pass through, an escape, when they tire of the love of sin and its horrible effects, namely death. It is through His death that the final proof of the Christ was given to mortals, and this truth destroys sin.

His death established a new covenant between God and man. We can enter into this covenant by accepting the possibility that Jesus Christ is who He said He is, and that He has done what He said He would do. He died once, for all.

Each and every one of us is responsible for our own sins and the sins of no other. Also an act does not make a person guilty unless there was a guilty intention. We are judged by our intentions. [Islamic perspective].

KJ Bible Ch Deutronomy 24:16:
"The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin"

KJ Bible Ch 2 Kings 14:6:
"But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin"

Holy Quran, Ch Nisa 4:111:
"For he who commits a sin, commits it only to his own hurt; and God is indeed all-knowing, wise. "

Holy Quran, Ch An'am 6:164:
"Say: "Am I, then, to seek a sustainer other than God, when He is the Sustainer of all things?" And whatever [wrong] any human being commits rests upon himself alone; and no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden. And, in time, unto your Sustainer you all must return: and then He will make you. [truly] understand all that on which you were wont to differ. "

Adam's sin was his alone and God forgave both Adam and Eve when they turned to him in repentance (as verified in the Holy Quran). And so will we be responsible for our own sins and should turn to God in repentance, with utmost sincerity and have hope for salvation.

Peace ♥
