The fact that they call themselves "Christians" is odd to me - because they don't even call him God!! So why would they call themselves "followers of Christ"??? Their views are against a lot of things in the Bible and they don't even know that because they don't do their own research. I went the the JW website and looked at the references they claim uphold their views and was able to sit with only a commentary, my bible, a dictionary, and a concordance and prove almost all of them incorrect! Also, they make a big deal out of stupid stuff - like, Jesus died on a stake not a cross, because in their version the word is interpreted differently. I think they need to search their hearts and see that they are following a religion instead out a God. They talk a lot about the second coming and how we need to be prepared. I think they need to do some research and make sure they are!

Boy, you must be in a real panic over the upcoming showing of Knocking and that JWs are the right ones and that there is no possible way for you to bring yourself to live so much in the light of Christ as they do.
Just like seeing someone who is standing in the light while you stand in the dark shadows, you can see them clearly, but you cannot be seen. Nor can you see what is happening around you. Kind of like the Israelis of the first century. Many could not see that the signs of the coming of the Messiah had been fulfilled. They stood in the dark, while accusing those in the light that they could not possibly be God's People.

Just because we do not believe the Trinity doctrine does not mean we do not follow Christ.
What did Jesus tells his followers to do?
Matt 24:14 "This good news of the Kingdom will be preached to all the inhabited earth, then the end will come" Who of Jesus followers today preaches about the good news of the Kingdom?
John 17:16 "They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world." Who of Jesus followers today to not get involved with the worlds politics and attitudes?
Matt. 26:52 "Jesus said to him: "Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword." Who of Jesus followers today to not get involved in wars?
John 13: 35 "By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves." Who of Jesus followers today have a true brotherhood, free of prejudice due to race or nationality?
1 Cor. 5: 11 & 13 "But now I am writing you to quite mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. ....Remove the wicked man from among yourselves" Who of Jesus followers have high moral standards and do not condone the practice and keep the congregation clean?
I can answer "Jehovah's Witnesses" to all the above. Can you say that about all those professing to be christian?
Some scriptures to consider with regards to the trinity doctrine.
John 5:15, John 6: 38; John 7:16; Col 1:15; 1 John 4:9; John 10:30; John 17:21 &22; John 14:28; Acts 7: 55 & 56; Heb 11:17; John 17:3; Matt 3:16 & 17; Matt 24: 36 - 39; 2 Cor. 6: 6; Luke 11: 20
With regard to "image of the invisible God" yes Jesus reflected the qualities and attributes of his father. Are we not made in God's image? As Jesus followers, should be not reflect his qualities and attributes?
With regards to John 2: 19-22 see Acts 2: 32 says "This Jesus God raised up?" Gal 1: 1 "..but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him up from the dead."
Att Luke 8:48 Jesus told a woman "Your faith has made you well." Did this mean the she healed herself? No, Jesus healed her because she had faith. (Luke 8:46 & Act 10:38)
Likewise, by his perfect obedience as a human, Jesus provided the moral basis for his Father to raise him from teh dead. So it could properly be said that Jesus himself was responsible for his resurrection.
A.T. Robertson in Word Picturers in the New Testament says:
"Recall John 2:19 where Jesus said: 'and in three days I will raise it up.' He did not mean that he will raise himself from the dead independently of the Father as the active agent (Rom 8:11)." (New York 1932) Vol. V. p. 183.
We do worship God, the God of Jesus, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
We do know the history of our religion. All religions were started by a man or group of men who were searching for the truth. If not there would not be so many different religions.
They did not start themselves.

I don't know much about JW', but I am an exmormon, and generally Mormons and JW's are given the same regard. If I knew more about the JW's, I probably be as vocal against them as I am the LDS church. Anyway, I've only known two JW's ever. There is one that I work with, and I knew that he was "really religious." He is very humble, probably the best example of a Christian I've ever met. I guess my answer is that they aren't pretending to be Christian, because in their mind they are, they follow what they believe to be the teachings of Christ.

Even inspired scripture might want to be purposefully quoted out of context and misapplied. devil easily quoted Psalm 91:11-12 in the type of way as to attempt tricking Jesus into sinning adverse to God. yet Jesus did not fall for this deceitful scheme; he corrected devil through quoting further scripture, from Deuteronomy 8:3, to placed devil's quote into its perfect context and understanding. So the technique getting used right here, even as it extremely works on some, isn't something new.

First of all, the scirptures also say that Jesus is God's son!! Yes Colossians says Jesus is the IMAGE of the invisible God. he represents God. He is not God, he is from God. God's first born creation. God cannot create himself!! Get your facts straight because Pastor Russel and Judge Rutherfore are apostates!! And JW's are not forcing you to believe what they believe although none of there teachings can be argued not one!! Everything in their bible can be found in yours! Trust me, I was raised as a JW. I am not currently, because I don't want to live my life as a sinner and pretend to be religious so I don't go to church or attend meetings. Christian is believeing in God as JW's do!!!
I agree with Lillie, the trinity is a pagan teaching and introduced not by christians. Jesus is God's son.

Because we are Christian. Sorry but never did Christ claim to be God. Considering the many denominations there are, each who have some dissimilarities, for someone to call us unChristian because we strive to follow Christ's teachings and do so differently then said person, seems rather sad.

Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christians.
A Christian religion bases its beliefs on the teachings of Jesus Christ and recognises his sacrifice.
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." -- John 3:16
The fact that the Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in the Trinity doesn't make them non-Christians.
The Bible says that Jehovah God, Jesus and the holy spirit are different. Jehovah and Jesus aren't equal. Jesus is God's first creation. The holy spirit is God's active force.
"....the Father is greater than I am." -- John 14:28
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation." -- Colossians 1:15
"When the helper arrives that I will send YOU from the Father, the spirit of the truth, which proceeds from the Father, that one will bear witness about me." -- John 15:26

Well if you look up Christian in a dictionary, the most common result you will see is "one who follows the teachings of Christ."
Different sects of Christianity tend to have different beliefs about what defines being Christian, for example, some conventions believe that only in Baptism is a Christian allowed to earn the right to be a Christian. Some believe that only their sect of Christianity is the true one.
Personally, I think the people who are in the system of faith are not usually allowed to craft the definition, because it is clouded by their perception and subjectivity. In most cases, non-christians accept Christianity to be any one of the many faiths that traces its origin to the original teachings of Jesus Christ.

You know what.....?
you are going on and on and on!!!
You have no idea what the Bible teaches. You have taken some scriptures out of context, and have proved nothing.
Clearly any small amount of research will show you that the trinity concept is a pagan teaching that was fused in with apostate christianity in the fourth centuryCE.
Get your facts straight and study the Bible before you go off half ****** about something you obviously know nothing about

What is the definition of "Christian" ?
As indicated by the name "Christianity", the focus of Christian theology is a belief in Jesus as the Messiah or Christ. The title "Messiah" comes from the Hebrew word מָשִׁיחַ (māšiáħ) meaning "the anointed one" or "King." The Greek translation Χριστός (Christos) is the source of the English word Christ.
Christians believe that, as the Messiah, Jesus was anointed as ruler and savior of humanity, and hold that Jesus's coming was the fulfilment of messianic prophecies of the Old Testament. The core Christian belief is that, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, the perfect Son of God, mankind is reconciled to God and thereby attains salvation by grace and the promise of eternal life to all who trust in Christ. The need for salvation was caused by original sin."
Christian Witnesses of the one true God believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah and the Son of God, that he was sent to earth to live as a perfect man and by means of his death, he gave all mankind the hope of eternal life. Jesus gave his perfect life as a ransom sacrifice for all imperfect humans. This he did willingly for us and for that we are eternally grateful.
We know that as King in his Father's heavenly government, that he will bring about the much needed changes to earth and to all who desire to live under his righteous rulership.
Jesus is indeed our King and will reign until all his enemies are destroyed. The last enemy he will destroy will be death itself. 1 Corinthians 15:26
Why are you pretending to know how we feel about Jehovah's precious and only begotten Son?
Thanks--L.O.B.T
