Come to the one with scars on His hands cause He knows where you are and where you've been, His scars can heal you if you let Him.

So what do you say?

You've done life on your own for long enough, let God take the drivers seat....

I noticed that the Mormon's have a site up where they will send you a free copy of the Bible and the Book of Mormon, no charge whatsoever. I was wondering if the Catholic Church does this and if so, where can I look?

When I go to the gates of heaven (or whatever the meeting place is called) how do I remember all of my sins? I didn't write them all down and I know I've done more f-cked up things than I can remember.

I keep seeing the question of if there was proof there is no God, would you still believe. Now I want to ask everyone if there was concrete 100% proof there WAS a god, would you then believe? or would you continue to doubt?

Polytheism: The concept of god where multiple forms of the One deity can exist at one and the same time Independently but still be considered as being of one spirit.

"And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man (JESUS) will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven." (Luke 12:10)

‘Christ according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten--just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded from the Father and Son, but was an equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say before he existed, but he is of the same age as the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity.’----- Col. Robert G. Ingersoll

One god sends another down to earth. The god on earth prays to the god in heaven. The god in heaven is pleased with the god on earth. The god on earth says that the god in heaven is greater than he (the god on earth). The god on earth says he will later send a third god down to earth. The god in heaven forsakes the god on earth. The god on earth dies and goes to the god in heaven and sits by his side. That is polytheism for sure, one hundred percent. You can call it whatever you want, but it’s polytheism pure & simple.

"APRIL 20--The reactionary religious group that has staged protests at funerals for soldiers killed in Iraq plans to picket at tomorrow's funeral for one of the victims of the Virginia Tech massacre. The Westboro Baptist Church--which operates the godhatesfags.com web site--announced its plans to protest at student Ryan Clark's funeral in a press release (a copy of which you'll find below). Clark, 22, was a biology and English major who reportedly was trying to shield others when he was shot Monday by Seung-Hui Cho. Clark's funeral is scheduled for tomorrow morning in Evans, Georgia. The Westboro organization has protested at the funerals of soldiers because they claim that God is punishing America for "her sodomite sins" and the persecution of Westboro "for warning America of her doom."

Apostles Creed 600 c.e.

Ibelieve in God the Father almighty;
And in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord;
Who was born of the Holy Ghost and Virgin Mary;
And was crucified under Pontious Pilate and was buried;
And the third day rose again from the dead;
Ascended into Heaven, sitteth on the right hand of the Father;
Whence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead;
And in the Holy Ghost;
The Holy Church;
The remission of Sins;
And the resurrection of the Flesh, Amen.

There are those scholars, who say the additions to the Creed in 600 C.E. is one of the prime reasons the reformation came about in 1600.

If he was a pastor who taught his congregation that Jesus did not die for their sins. And he told them all to believe with all their heart that Jesus was not their saviour, and they did believe this. And later some members of his congregation got in a bus crash and died instantly, thus being condemned to Hell.

And then many years later the pastor realized that he had been teaching people falsely, and he repented and accepted Jesus.

Would he still go to Heaven, even though his teachings had caused many people to go to Hell?

If you think that he would go to Heaven, do you think this is unfair?

I see so many holes in Christianity it is not even funny. The whole noah and the arc theory is one of the biggest jokes I know. I will convert to christianity is you can answer these questions, without saying.. " through the glory of god" ... or something like it.
1. How did Noah get the polar bears? they lived far from the north pole?
2. How did Noah get the koala and the kangeroo? again extreme distances and these creatures can't swim.
3. How could Noah get the Monitor lizard? creature from the other side of the world and very dangerous.
4. How could Noah provide the food and the different climates for the different species on the arc?

They have to transport dogs and alcohol (not people *drinking* alcohol, mind) or face some very real consequences now. And I'm SO GLAD. If they were allowed to keep this up, there would have been a real slippery slope effect, I think.

I'm no Muslim, but I do have a few questions to ask:

How many people here realise that it was Muslims who invented the scientific method when Europe was still in the Dark Ages?
Also, how many people here realise that it was the Muslims who translated the works of Aristotle and Plato (as well as the Hermetic traditions) into the modern lingo of the time, which gave rise to the Renaissance and then to Western science?
How many people also realise that it was the Muslims who invented modern mathematics (including the numerals we use everyday), and, they invented optics and many other things besides?
So, why is it that we in the West (Christians in particular) enjoy the fruits of their knowledge and cultural andvancements while villifying them so much? Tell me now, who is the savage and who is the civilised?

Please do not answer this question based on your religious beleifs. and if you want to preach to me a branch of christianity or catholisism please don't waste your time, as i find no acceptance or appeal, or truth to those. They have some good practices and morals, but mostly i find it rather fake. Anybody else, if i want a religion that is open yet spiritual, do you have any ideas?

Someone just offered to pray for me.....

How is this going to help me?
Will all my problems be erased when this person is finished?
How does prayer work and where does God come in to play?

If I say to you......... please pray for me that I have something to eat? Is God going to fix me a sandwich? Is this food for FREE? Will a surprise pizza be delivered to my door at no cost?
Or..........................................................

Does prayer REALLY MEAN, " I will keep you in mind when speaking to God and I will be thinking of you, that you might find the peace you are looking for. This kind of prayer I can accept for sure.

Otherwise, help me to understand because I don't.

Debunks the theory that as time goes on the more bigger sinners we are.

Sin has been reduced a thousand fold when you look at the injustice in the world in the first few centuries after Jesus.

Historically speaking we are living in much BETTER times, especially as compared to the time when Europe was living under the "scripture" which we now call the Dark Ages.

The Renaissance of thought from Moorish Spain broke the darkness of those ages and lifted mankind out of the depths of Polytheism which was being spread in the name of Monotheism.
