NIV Mark Chapter 10, verse11: He answered, "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12: And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."
This is the reason I stopped practising Christianity and chose to practice a different spiritual path.
My first husband was a violent man. He later committed and was imprisoned for the manslaughter of his second wife. This passage from Mark came to me at a time could have done with some christian compassion . Was my sin to leave this marrige or is it the greater sin to die at the age of twenty at the hands of a violent and depraved man? I am now married happily to my current beloved and we plan to have a family (yay! I'll be a mother at last!) and the union to be life-long. Yet, I still believe that my actions will not be cleansed by blood of the cross. Prayfully consider it. Thank you.

I understand he is a work of fiction but he has made references to God andf spiriutality from time to time and I've been thinking about what his own spiritual/religious beliefs might be.

I get the impression that he either follows some Eastern philosophy or is he is non-Religious.

I just noticed, the Catholic church has paid a very large amount of money again to pay for sexual child abuse. Hush Money . Do you as Catholics have no conscience? I would like for someone to start a fund to punish these priests. Build a new prison. Donate your money to pay for the poor people without hospitalization. You should have a say in that money you give or stop giving it.

God said 'I am your only God'. So what is the Trinity? Doesn't it mean there are actually 3 gods in Christianity? If Jesus is the son of God, that doesn't make him a God himself, because he'd contraddict what his father said. Please answer, without quoting the scriptures.

More and more people are questioning whether Jesus existed or not. Even the most credible scholars are denying he even lived nowadays. Not any credible historical references about him turn up until after his supposed death. Josephus, who many claim proved Jesus live, was a Jewish historian who lived years after Christ supposedly died. So you can't trust him either. The only detailed book about his life is a book which seems more like a fable book than a historical record. Jesus was most likely an invention created after the God Horus, who was born on December 25, was called the Son of God, died as a savior, and was ressurected in 3 days. I would have to say Jesus didn't exist. There exists nothing to prove he existed at all.

God gave Moses his 10 commandaments, without talking about Hell. If people are so religious, why do they say the name of God all the time? Isn't it forbidden by his laws? Isn't Hell just a scaring tactic? God didn't say anything about Hell in his laws. And if he's the only God, we have to respect just his laws, and no one else's. So, the question is: why should we listen to what Christianity said about Hell and not just to what God told Moses in the first place, supposedly without intermediaries like Paul, who was just a man?

Without redefining Pagan or Christian, can one be both?
Some definitions of Pagn are "other than an Abrahamic religion", or "Believing in mulitple gods".

Christian orthodoxy teaches that there is One God.

It doesn't seem to me that one can believe in the Trinity, hell and heaven, and the necessity of Christ for Salvation; and the authority of the Bible, while still practicing magick, witchcraft and other pagan practices.

There are those who claim to practice Magick, using the Chritian gods as their pantheon, but these seem to ignore Biblical prohibitions against suc practices, and seem tto redefine Christianity. It smacks of a line by Guinevere in "The Mists of Avalon"; "Neither good Christian nor good Pagan".

So, can one be both without redefining either?

So that I may have a better understanding as to your position and viewpoint would you be kind enough to supply me with the basics of your belief?

I would like to know as to which Version of the Holy Bible that you hold close to your hearts?

Are you all of one Religious Sect., or are you separated in different Sects?

And not to be rude or disrespectful, do you follow the teachings of the Bible Literal (as some on this forum have claimed)?

I ask this so that I may have a better understanding of who you are and what you believe and mean no disrespect in any of my questions.

Peace and Love
Sam

Thank you and Please No Bashing.

I believe strongly that communication online is important for the Christian becuase we all are""" here for the reason of getting a message across to the readers and yet sometimes we can get the wrong message across or recieve the wrong message, there is no doubt that we must fully and carefully watch what we say to non-believers and to other Christians becuase we are representing the king of kings online. We all know satan comes to kill steal and destroy and he will do what ever it takes to block the message from reaching the ears of the person on the other side of the computer and he will also use that person to personally atack the believer and get you to debate and to walk by the flesh and not by faith. you totally start to dabate instead of spread the news and easilier to be offended, Christians when we recieve a message that even look negative dont read it erase it immediately becuase you are allowing negative juices to enter your spirit....to be continued

Let's say that there is a planet with large population of beings that look nothing like. But they have alot of the things we have, technology, love and families, maybe even forms of entertainment. But let's say this entire species is peaceful. They no longer fight wars amongst themselves over their personal beliefs. They have learned to solve their differences without violence and have grown as a civilation. They became one planet.

So how would humans explain these people about god? How we looks like us and how jesus is his son who was raised from the dead. Now remember, they have world peace and no longer have the need for beliefs. How would you convince them that they were wrong?

I don't like Jesus because to me, he doesn't seem like a good leader. I view good leaders as people like Muhammed, who killed people who got in his way. I like his dictator like personality. Muhammed didn't take crap. Anybody could beat up Jesus, I mean the Romans beat him up. All he did was smile and talk. I hate people like that. I like dictators, not hippies.

Two months ago, my boyfriend of one year broke up with me all of a sudden. He said he didn't love anymore and had to figure some things out on his own. (HUH???) When we were going out, he was very insecure and jealous and he had to know everything. Example: If I mentioned a friend I saw today at the store, and I stopped to speak (it just happened to be a guy-maybe a classmate or something), he'd have to know: Does he have a job? Is he good-looking? Do you like him? Is his slimmer than me? And so on and so on..... Then I would get mad at him because I would never cheat on him for anything. I mean, if you see someone you know, you speak, "hey how ya been?" What ya up to these days....?? No problem right? Then, he would get mad at me and say it hurts his feelings when I get mad at him.......I've told him "This is the world, people get mad because you ain't perfect...But, we've decided to stay friends, but his insecurity is still there. We've worked things out, prayed, and we're hangin on.

isnt the point of the debate over the truth of the religion? this would also include the bible. we all know that there is absolutely no proof that the bible is the words of god. it was written by humans that claim it so when someone is debating the truth of the religion why would you use the stories as proof?
thats like saying "this particular story that i just made up is absolutely true because this other story i made up says that all the stories i make up are true."

i dont think itsways the argument 1 inch when you quote something as truth that is the very topic of the debate.
