-Science has shown that the human eye and bacterial flagellum are not "irreducibally complex", yet creationists still offer both as examples of "irreducible complexity".

-Forensic anthropologists have discovered literally hundreds of transitionary fossils, yet creationists still deny evolution because they claim we have yet to discover any transitionary fossils?

-Every time I explain to a creationists or ID proponent that the 2nd law of thermodynamics is attributed to a closed system they give me a funny look (the same look my dog gives me when I talk to him like he's human). Then they go on to explain why they believe the 2nd law trumps evolution. Then I kindly remind them that the Earth, our solar system, and our galaxy are not closed systems. Then they give me another funny look.

I give up. The dog wins.

Can anyone explain to me why some Christians are so.......insane? I can accept those who go to church every sunday and wedensday, celebrate holidays, pray, and go to sunday school or christian education classes. But those who are convinced that they are the "truth holders" and the greatest religion, who go around telling people "Repent! Repent! Or you shall burn in the fires of Hell!!" I cannot stand them. They follow the Bible so closely and don't accept anyone who has different views. If you tell them you aren't a Christian, they will be, like, "Fine, but you are living in a lie!! Turn to Jesus!!" and then you say "but I believe in (insert supreme being here, or nothing)" and they are like, "I won't be seeing you in Heaven. You are a sinner unless you repent!!" ERG! I CANNOT STAND THOSE PEOPLE.

Oh, and also those people who think Harry Potter is the devil........WTF??? Seriously.

Conventional wisdom is that God is all powerful. If so, can problems exist that God is incapable of solving, and is that consistent with the first assumption? Examples of problems would be of the kind:
"Create a problem that is so difficult that God cannot solve it" or "Can God create an entity that can defeat/corrupt Him?".

Similarly, an all knowing God knows now that my great-great-grandson to be born in the 22nd century is going to be an unbeliever or a believer. In either case is little Johnnie's fate predetermined? ie., is my ability to give myself to God thwarted by the fact that he knew if I will or wont a million years ago?

How does one reconcile these, in layman's terms with an infinitely powerful, all-knowing, fair, loving, and just God?

This was such a real real vision, it frightend me. Jesus was flying up a water fall, with his hand's raised towards heaven. He was on a water raft, and he went to stare at me, then he looked again toward heaven. Then I woke up from the vision. I was awake when this fell on me. I have been seeking God's face for 6 yrs.

If i understood correctly , arent christians not suppose to judge people as that is god/jesus' job.

But why is that they are the first to judge anyone different to them???

Also they love to chatisite anyone who is different to them, why is this???

If you a true christians supposed to love thy neighbour even if they not agree with other person's actions of lifestyle?

Obviously not all christians are like that, but i seen many who think they are righteous enough to judge someone else

a plane flies thanks to science development, same with medicine...so why some "scientists" are trustworthy and some others are not???
I dont trust priests so i dont follow the advise of ANY of them.

And not until you respond by saying "oh, youre a catholic? Well, Im a christian" then they want to change their answer all the sudden and say " Oh, Im christian too". No,it doesnt work like that, your first answer it the one who have to stick with.

I have asked this before but different people are on R & S at different times. I want to know are most people aware the abortion as a diagnosis is the same as abortion as a procedure?
If a woman miscarries within the first 3 months the diagnosis is spontaneous abortion. If the fetus dies and she does not deliver, the diagnosis is missed abortion.
Some people might be in jobs where they see these terms and are not familiar with medical terminology. I would hope no one passes judgement when they see abortion as a diagnosis.
After a spontaneous abortion a D & C is frequently performed to remove products of conception. After a missed abortion a D & C must be done to remove the dead fetus.
Is everyone aware of this?
