As I typed this question, I am watching it and it is great. They have taken every nibble of evolution and proved it couldn't be true.

Guess the evolutionist will have to go back to the lab and do some more work.

It's only 20 light years away, which is just down the street. Even though this may be another Earth, I am sure there are many more planets out there that isn't like Earth at all and have life. So if and when we do find our "place" is the Cosmic Roll Call, what would that do to religion?

It is logical to assume that these intelligent beings developed their own beliefs on the universe. And if they believe in a divine being, they may believe that it looks like them as well. What would that mean to someone on Earth who believes in god?

In view of the stated aims of Moslems, and as it is written in their koran, that they are to fight until the whole world is under the control of Islam.... do you think that free speech would be allowed ?

I have had 2 questions deleted that were very mildly critical of islam. Is there a conspiracy here to silence any criticism of Islam. I notice that Christianity gets its shareof criticism, and to delete those questions would be considered a breach of freedom of speech by those who criticise.

My fiance posted this question for me, but i felt i needed to explain why i have this question in order to get a better answer than the ones he got.
I guess i am confused. I am Christian but am very liberal in my beliefs. I believe that the bible is a group of metaphorical stories to guide us through life. I dont take it 100% literally but i do think it is important and meaningful. That said, i dont understand how religous leaders have managed to avoid explaining why dinosaurs are "missing" from the story of the creation of the world. If God created the world in 7 days and goes from nothing all the way to mankind...and we know that man was not alive when dinos ruled the world, how does that work? Dinos were millions of years ago and there are bones and factual evidence proving the time frame. I am just curious i guess. I have my theories but welcome your thoughts!

There is only one way, or path, to Salvation, and that is through Christ.

It is not a five dollar wager.

You cannot be saved by your own merits or righteousness.

Christ's yoke is well padded and the load light, and guess Who you are yoked to, Christ.

You see, right now as a Christian, I have the power of "Free Will". Atheists argue that it is beyond moronic to not put teenagers on birth control or at least load them up with condoms because when it comes down to it, they will not be able to stop themselves. In other words - there is no free will, just force of nature. I mean, we all are just really smart monkeys, right?

Here's the problem - it is a proven statistical fact that birth control pills and condoms are not 100% effective, so when I inevitably succomb to the urge to do it like they do on the Discovery Channel, am I then obligated to kill the unborn child?

Just wondering.

Isn't God supposed to love and forgive? Why could he create someone, already knowing their choices, just to make them go to Hell after their death? And more important: is accepting Jesus a reasonable condition to reach Heaven after death? Even if you were a good person, but not Christian, they say you'll go to Hell. And if you were a bad person, who repented before dying, you'll go to Heaven, according to the Christian faith. I'd like you to answer WITHOUT quoting the scriptures (it's too easy and it doesn't explain anything). I do believe that if there's a Heaven, all good and caring people will be welcome, no matter their religion. Why so many people are condamning other people to Hell because of what Dante said?

A MODERN
COMMENTARY, published by The Union of American Hebrew Congregations (c)
1981, the verse is more properly translated as "Thou shalt not telerate a
sorceesss," with no mention about putting the offending sorceresss to death
(it should be noted that the newest translation (1999) of the Hebrew
scriptures by the Jewish Publication Society has this translation in place
of its earlier one).If so, the proscription against sorcery might also be a proscrption against praying in other, non-Jewish,ways. The basic noun form of the word is "sorcery," and the basic verb form is "to practice sorcery." Nowhere in proper translations should this word be translated as "witches" or "witchcraft."

What are the signs & symptoms?

In my understanding, a person who murders others has to be demon possessed. This is more than just mental illness. It seems that any Christian would be able to sense the demons. I can sense trouble around someone some times. I can sense spiritual warfare.

Are terrorists demon possessed?
What are the signs of a demon possessed person?
Why do people say murderers just have mental problems?
Why can't we admit that it is more than mental problems?

I think of it like believing the tooth fairy is real and that Santa Claus is real. It make no sense. If there is a great Creator, who created the Creator? Huh? Doesn't make any sense. I admit I have never read the Bible, but I think it is a book of fables and fairy tales from what I've heard. Jesus never even existed. He was an experiment when religions tried to mesh paganism in newly created religions. Jesus is the biggest scam in hisotry. He is a human form of the god Horus, who was born on December 25, was known as the Son of God, died as a savior, and was ressurected in 3 days. A little too close to be coincidental, isn't it? There was no Jesus, God is a lie, and the Bible is a fablebook. There is nothing that can prove otherwise. I will never trust the work of a Bronze Age Historian, because all they did back then is write myths with their whacked beliefs. They even believed in a Snake god back then. They hardly ever wrote nonfiction.
