Which is to say... do they occasionally throw their hands up in the air and say "I'm going back to Allah!"?

Well, the simple answer is probably. Many times throughout our journey in faith we feel that God is non existent and that all we do for the Kingdom goes un noticed and lose our faith. I woudl say it is more common to go from believing in God and then not believing as compared to believing in God (christianity) and then saying, eh, I feel Muslim today, don't think that would happen nearly as often.

I myself was raised Catholic, but at the age of 15 I turned to a life of crime, this life lead me astray from a relationship with God, but thankfully He brought me back to a relationship and now I'm studying for the Catholic priesthood.

So yes, many times we may feel that communication with God isn't going to far and may just have a few bad days of no prayer or something like that.

The Christian life is not easy, and Christians do sin from time to time. However, if the person truly understands the concepts of forgiveness and grace, there is no need to be frustrated and "give up".

This usually happens when folks have an incomplete understanding of the way Christianity works.

The conversion from one religion to another is not like dealing with a drug or alcohol addition. Nor is it like having cancer where once remission is induced an individual may relapse.

It's normal for people to reconsider their actions and perfectly normal for a person to change his mind.

What I don't understand is why you consider normal mental behavior to be a "relapse"!

It may not be just Allah. It could be a boyfriend! even if he is a man.

We are all imperfect and if we are to get along in this world then we need to accept those imperfections.

once you accept Christ as your saviour. There is no going back. If you do go back, it is like denying Christ or like if you are washed clean and turning back to the mud.
