no not all animals died, they went into the ark two by two. As for aquatic animals, why should they die, they are used to water.

Death is a consequence of Adam's sin. The flood was a purge of unrighteousness on the face of the earth. The sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over us, but all who receive God's wonderful, gracious gift of righteousness will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Romans 8:20-22

Well, here is the easy answer---the world wide flood of Noah did not happen, it is another myth that the early israelites used to teach about their obsession with sinning and misery. To bad they could not just be happy and not dwell so much on past history. The flood mythology predates the bible by several thousand years, in other works and other cultures.

A change in salinity might do it. Of course, that only works if you believe in the Bible.
