Why is this so difficult to understand?
There is only one way, or path, to Valhalla, and that is through Oden.
It is not a five dollar wager.
You cannot be saved by your own merits or righteousness.
Oden's yoke is well padded and the load light, and guess Who you are yoked to, Oden.
That's why. because you can substitute any of the thousands of deities man has created over the centuries, and it is the same message.

The problem with those statements is that there is no proof of that. The first assertion that you make is that what you are saying is true. If it is really true and I'm not saying is not, then yes, only through Christ. The problem is that you cannot prove or disprove that assertion. If you ask the muslim then they give you a slightly different tale. If you ask the Jewish, or the Budhist or what ever other religion they all give you a different tale. Non can prove they are more right than the other because they are all based on the assumption that their way is true, not on the fact that their way is true. That is a very big difference. Thinking something is true and proving something is true are two completely different animals. By most religious I could make a story up and add some historical fact and by itself its true until someone can disprove it.

People choose this:
Ephesians 4
17 Now this I affirm and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds;
18they are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart;
Sometimes this is from God:
Isaiah 29
10 For the LORD has poured out upon you
a spirit of deep sleep,
and has closed your eyes, the prophets,
and covered your heads, the seers.
11 And the vision of all this has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed.
We can only plant seeds. Sometimes it falls where it cannot grow.

Is this difficult to understand?
There is only one way, or path, to Salvation, and that is by eating feta on a wheat cracker at precisely 11:38pm on June 10, 2009.
It's perfectly easy to understand. However, that doesn't make it true.

You are correct, but surely you understand that believing in Christ as Savior is not an intellectual matter. Until people are drawn by the Spirit Himself, they cannot understand. Their understanding is darkened. Christians on here need to be praying for those who don't believe, that their hearts and minds will be opened to the truth of God and His word. Only with the Holy Spirit's drawing, can they believe. If we don't show them love as well as the truth, they will have no reason to listen to us. We must be the example.

Why is that so hard to understand???
Because the IS NO ONE WAY, NO ONE TRUE PATH.
Why is THAT so difficult for YOU to understand.
You can feel absolutely free to believe what ever you want, but don't tell me what to believe.
Oh and did you know that Christ is NOT Jesus' last name?
Christ is a title, more like a high level of Spiritual attainment, anyone can attain Christ energy, no matter what religion they are.

The reason it is so difficult to understand, is that, this man (Christ in the form of a HUMAN MAN) supposedly saved all our lives by dying by the worst execution method of that time. He was also had tons of opposition against his ministries and "abilities". Don't get me wrong, I'm completely understanding of Christ and I do believe what you say is true; it's just that there are things that happen that would not be favored by God but they still happen. It's more about man and his fall than about comprehending Christ.
As to the merits/righteousness, I don't quite understand those people but I believe it has to do with the idea that Faith without deeds is dead, but so is deeds without faith.

Why is THIS so difficult to understand:
See, I don't need to be saved at all. I'm just a good person all by myself. I don't need your god. I don't need your heaven. I pretty much need what I have now (good family, satisfying homelife, good friends, etc.) because after I die, there's nothing.
Obviously, you NEED the mythology of god and heaven in order to do what you SHOULD do anyway. You need someone to save you from your evil ways in order to NOT do them.
I don't need that.
