The platypus prohibitions of 834 AD specifically ordered the removal of all wombat related scripture. This was not a change to the Bible - it was just a minor clarification of God's true word.

Because wombats didn't roam the earth for millions of years before the first humans popped up.
But dinosaurs did and they are conveniently left out of the book of genesis.
