More and more people are questioning whether Jesus existed or not. Even the most credible scholars are denying he even lived nowadays. Not any credible historical references about him turn up until after his supposed death. Josephus, who many claim proved Jesus live, was a Jewish historian who lived years after Christ supposedly died. So you can't trust him either. The only detailed book about his life is a book which seems more like a fable book than a historical record. Jesus was most likely an invention created after the God Horus, who was born on December 25, was called the Son of God, died as a savior, and was ressurected in 3 days. I would have to say Jesus didn't exist. There exists nothing to prove he existed at all.

Well there is no evidence other than scant hearsay. That hearsay doesn't really say much about jesus. Not enough to come to the conclusion he was real. There are over 30 known writers that existed and wrote about the people and happenings in the Palestine area at the time that jesus supposedly lived and not one of them mentions jesus. There were no Roman records of him and the Romans were quite anal about keeping meticulous records.

The lack of evidence is pretty conclusive that nobody heard of him if he really was real. An insignificant little pee-on if he was real. There isn't any evidence that the supposed town of Nazareth even existed or that the exodus took place. There is geological evidence to prove the Noachian flood never happened. There is more evidence that disproves all the really far fetched stories in the bible. This fact makes one wonder how much, other than the few historical figures, was actually real.

There is a 1000X more evidence for important people that lived in that time.

So basically since no evidence exists to show he was real, I'm saying no.

Jesus is the Son of God. He is the Messiah. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected from that death over 2000 years ago. It is written, that He will return when the day of Judgement is at hand. A better question for you to be asking is.... Does Faith Exist? The people of this world believe in so little and trust only what they can control. "Truth" needs no proof, only "Acceptance". That is what "Faith" is all about.

You obviously are not familiar with the rules of Historiography or the methods of preserving ancient records. The New Testament cannot be summarily dismissed as a historical document: there is simply too much evidence in its favor to allow such treatment! Your assumptions about a particular book's style ("seems more like a fable book") are not allowed in a serious critique of ancient historical writings, and REALLY don't apply to the books of Luke and Acts (which WERE written as historical accounts, btw, and only later added to the collection of the New Testament as it was being compiled).

Josephus can hardly be dismissed as an untrustworthy source, being born within the same decade as Jesus' crucifixion (circa 37 AD). He grew up in Jerusalem and its environs during the time Christianity was in it's early stages, and could have had first-hand contact with the early disciples: eyewitnesses to the trial, death, and resurrection of Jesus. He has been described as a devout Jew and an excellent historian and apologeticist; some of his writings were attempts to explain Judaism to the Greco-Roman Gentiles he dealt with on a daily basis. He was in an excellent position to describe the daily lives and educational style of the Jewish people, especially in the manner the Jewish Scholars approached in record-keeping.

The Horus arguement is crap. Jews would never have accepted a pagan deity as a messiah figure. For Jesus of Nazareth to be the Jewish Messiah, He would have had to pass several tests. These tests were compiled 400 years BEFORE His birth! You may have noticed that the date of December 25 is NEVER mentioned in the Bible: it is a centuries-later tradition added to allow people to celebrate their winter festival in a more "christianized" fashion.

Obviously, you are biased against Jesus Christ and Christianity. Your bias leads you to dismiss evidence with only a cursory glance-if any look at all!

Evidence exists to show Jesus of Nazareth lived on the Earth. In fact, there is more evidence supporting the existence of Jesus than there is supporting the Buddah, Nebucchanezzer of Bablyon, and King David of Judea!

Your bias forces you to discard evidence that would challenge your hypothesis, instead of considering it.

That sucks.

That would be within the perimeters of 'faith'. If matters not whether scholars or anyone else agrees that He exists, He is still God. The Word of God says that in the last days men will become lovers of themselves...., will not listen to sound doctrine...have itching ears but will not hear. Jesus is not held hostage by whether a mere man accepts or acknowledges that He exists. He is Jesus all by Himself. Sometimes you can gain so much intellectual knowledge that you are too smart for your own good. May God Bless U.

I think his tomb AND remains were found. But, of course, most Christians don't because it would disprove an ascention that followed a resurection.

I think that Josephus' BELIEVABLE mention is an indierect one where he talks about James the brother of Jesus. Another mention, which expresses Christian beliefs as fact, is most certainly a later addition by the early Christian Church.

I think it likely that it all starts with an actual man named Yeshua, the name that is now Joshua. But in ancient times they needed a God, ("Jesus," is Greek for son of Zues,) to sell a movement. He probably never, himself, tried to say that he was the son of God.

I say he did exist. However, the miracles he performed are most likely false. I mean, they've already proven that Jesus never walked on water, and that he never died from his crucifixion. And the healings that he performed were only confirmed by his apostles, which doesn't make it very credible. Jesus DID exist, but he probably wasn't the prophet of God. And if any Christians come here to complain and say that Jesus is the prophet of God, and that I am going to Hell for denying him, I will say that I know I'm going to Hell.

I respectfully contend with the notion there are no references pointing to Christ. Actually, there are many, many documents, during that time period. What about Julius Ceasar - was he real? Could he have been a hoax? There are many more remaining documents authenticating Jesus' life on earth than that of Julius Ceasar. But ole' Julius wasn't really controversial - i.e., he didn't challenge anyone - but Jesus did, and does. Jesus' spotless character is hard, sometimes to respect, but he calls you. I've seen STUMBLING drunks sober up instantaneously. I mean instantly. This is not being impressionable - it is the power that transforms souls and lives.

There is proof found in religion. The Catholic Church can trace back it's lineage to Peter the Pope and those who succeeded him. In order to say so and so was Pope after Peter there is proof that then Jesus was real since Peter was appointed by him.

In addition many miracles have occurred that could not be explained without the existence of God, many miracles from having polio but after visiting a place of intense prayer this person was healed of the disease. Something that doctors say could not have happened.

The proof's in the many prophecies that have come about and are still coming about. I myself am not going to base my future destination on "popular opinion", but on Jesus who existed then and always existed as He is God in the flesh. You who doubt, need proof and base your life on man's ideas, science etc are falling into satan's deceptive trap and will go down with satan when all is said and done. My faith in the living Jesus who died for me and who LIVES in me thru the Holy Spirit is the only proof I need. Unless you experience a personal relationship with Jesus, feel His love and Joy in your life, I wouldn't expect anything more than what you have presented in your question. This increase in skepticism in these last days is one of the prophecies that has come about. I hope to God that you will see the light in your dark world before it's too late for you. God bless.
